I saw this in a small local theater. It's everything Quentin Tarantino wishes he could do. Was like watching a remake of "7 samauri", only with modern sensibilities about gore. Go see it. |

As much of a boner as I have for samurai films, this one really didn't cut it for me. I think it's that they tried to recapture the style of things like Lone Wolf and Cub, but back then the almost slapstick swordfights were a charming technical limitation, and now it just looks a little silly.
