Default A Study of EQ.

A friend of mine did a study on Everquest. Here were his results.

the EQ platinum piece is worth about one U.S. cent. higher than the japanese yen

the average player generates around 319 plat an hour.. the equivalent of $3.42 per hour... higher than minimum wage in most countries

the EQ gross national product - measured by how much plat all players create in a single year - is about $2,266. that makes EQ richer than india, bulgaria, and china... and almost as wealthy as russia, the 77th richest country in the world

I just thought i'd share this with you. Makes me wonder why more people dont sell online stuff

Default ...

I think auction websites put the worth of plat a little lower than that.

Study was made by "Castronova" and not Gillingwater.

But it was a good reading, and a bit scary to see how EQ and online worlds have evolved and will evolve.

Worthed my 20mins spent to read it.

Oh and nothing new from DE...

Default well then!

Well then he lied, not my fault Anyway, I thought the conclusions were very fun to read. Shows you how much our time online can really be worth.
