Yeah I agree talented but most of them won't sell many records. Sad but true that is just the way it is.

I agree - and agree with other points in this thread. A LOT of talent in the top 12 this year... far more than I expected to be honest.

The sad thing about Pia is, yeah she is seriously gorgeous (she looked righteous in that black dress), and yes she can sing seriously well - however every time I watched her, I just was not captivated AT ALL. She was boring, almost like I was watching the talent portion of a beauty pagent. The reason I believe this is true is not because of her inability to captivate me, but just the ability of the rest of the surrounding cast to capture my attention. There are so many unique characters and styles in this seasons final batch of contestants that Pia just got lost in the mix to me.

I hate country music - but if Scotty McCreery isn't on the radio singing professional country music next year I will be highly shocked.

I can't stop watching Casey and smiling every time he performs. He is by no means the best singer, but he entertains the piss out of me (which is where Pia failed, at least for me)

Paul McDonald that they say has a Rod Stewart-esque style I like as well.

Stefano can sing, but imo he should be going home somewhat soon.

Haley, I DUG THE HELL out of the last performance! However that's the first time I've really really liked what she has done. Every other time, I feel like I'm watching some young girl try to act soulful. I don't like watching kids trying to be adults - i like seeing people with serious passion and a connection to their material. Maybe that's asking too much out of people in the idol contestant age bracket *shrug*.

I like James Durbin too - as long as he doesn't just try to scream the crazy high notes all the time that he can hit, I enjoy his singing.

On a similar note, Jacob Lusk I like when he doesn't try to do too much. Yeah hes a flamboyant homo, but he's too flamboyant in his musical style for me. He goes from one extreme to the other - from trying to hit far too extremely low notes, to going way too high at times. It's like on a 0-10 scale... he ranges from a -4 to a 14. When he stays in the 2-8 range, he sounds phenomenal to me. He just needs to tone it down a little bit in my book. His most recent performance if I recall it correctly he did just that and I enjoyed it a lot more.

Lauren can sing her chest off - and I can't believe she can do it so well at such a young age. The past few weeks tho, I feel like she's just coasting. I haven't heard her really try and push herself. Or maybe it's just so effortless for her to sing as well as she does, that I just feel like shes not giving it 100%. To me she is definitely one of the best in this final bunch.

This season there are just more characters with unique styles than ever before, and that is what I am really digging about this year.

I really can't believe I just wrote that much about American Idol...I feel dirty.

Pretty cool. All she needs is to learn how to perform, that's what American Idol was teaching her. Yes I agree, she wasn't the best performer, but she also admitted fighting stage fright her entire life. She was getting more and more comfortable on the stage. Hopefully she has a long career and does some great things.

I think most of these kids will get deals. I think Pia will be the most successful.
