Just saw this - cause I don't come here very often. I'm just bored outta my mind at work right now...

You guys talking about bikes makes me sad - I just survived what easily could and probably should have been a fatal crash earlier this year in August. I was doing about 75 in the center lane of a 3 lane highway, during lunch rush hour traffic when a mustang cut me off and slammed on their breaks. I was wearing absolutely zero protective gear at all, and was even in short sleeves for gods sake. Don't ask me why, but for some reason I tapped my front break and it locked up and I immediately went down hard. Police said I slid 180ft - I went to the hospital, but walked away with only A LOT of skin missing, and a loss of my riding innocence

Bike was totaled, and I was doing contract work at the time so I had no insurance - hello 15k worth of medical bills! I doubt I will ever buy another bike and tempt fate again...
