I haven't done this yet, but I have thought for a way to guarantee a winning result in vbookie points. When we have a game of the week like we do, both paying out odds of 2/1, then if I bet the same amount on both odds, I'm guaranteed to make some money.

Say I were to bet 1000 on the Colts tonight, I lose 1000 from my account. Then I bet another 1000 on the Colts not covering, so I then lose another 1000 from my account. Now lets just say the Colts win tonight, I get back my 1000 that I bet plus 2000 more. I bet a total of 2000, now I have 3000. As you can see either result would pay out 2000, for a cost of 1000(that gets returned).

The result of this is, if I bet on both instances, I'm a guaranteed winner. Now, we all know this isn't the spirit of this game, so I haven't bet on both odds. I will so though, now that I've brought this too the admins attention, if the game of the week next week allows more than 1 bet, I WILL bet both ways, and bet half of my max on one side, and the other half on the other.

Thanks for bringing this up. I hadn't thought about betting both sides on these. I usually set the multiple allowed so you can self correct (I meant to bet 150 on FSU not covering, bet on them instead, so I bet 300 on em not covering to offset - works at 1:1 but I see the loophole on the 2:1 bet).

B can set the bets to only allow one bet per person on these.


For now on, that is how they'll be set too.

I did that when I was doing well in about week 3 or 4 and paid the price in karma. I promptly lost every game I bet on the next week (all but one of them within 2 points ATS) and went broke.
