Keep crashing to desktop. I have downloaded the latest drivers and have direct x9. The only message I get is that EQ Client has crashed and would I like to send info to SoE.
When this first started I would get a Qtask(wtf is a Qtask?) has caused an error and is being shut down , but it woulld just keep popping up over and over. I don't get that message anymore, but still crash. I am running windows 98 2nd edition. |

Here is how I have fixed it for people in the past with this problem.
In your eq directory, you will find a file called eqclient.ini Rename that file to eqclient.ini.old You will also see character files called, Selwen_ayonae.ini Rename that file to selwen_ayonae.ini.old Do a complete file check and then try to log in.

qtask is quicktime, maybe uninstall/reinstalling might help (no fucking clue why that is giving eq problems)

On a related "crashing" note...
I can run one instance of EQ fine. 25% of the time I can run two instances fine. 75% of the time I can run two instances for 3 seconds and then my computer reboots. I'm not using EQW, just EQ loaded twice in windowed mode. Running XP Home, Geforce4 440MX, 300watt power supply, 1gb ram, 40gb 10krpm hard drive, Direct X 9.0b and the 56.64 nvidia drivers. (When I try and load eq with the newer ones, i get some weird ass message saying Everquest recommends you use blah blah blah drivers) Any ideas? And yes I realize my video card is the suck It used to work fine for 2 boxing though ![]()

I found out today that if you have a Vid card with 256k ram on it and have over 512k ram in your system, it will crash you as well and get that exact message... Just a thought.
