Download GTA2, etc. free from Rockstar Games
I guess because they just felt like it, Rockstar Games now lets you download their three original games (GTA, GTA2, and one other one) from their website for free.
I just downloaded GTA2 at a pretty good speed so I guess their servers aren't so loaded as they were. This URL should get you there: http://www.rockstargames.com/classics Have fun!
