Awesome, AWESOME AWESOME book! I've been recommending it to my coursemates, and not a single one has come back without anything but high praise for it. It's just one of those books that scrambles your brains and at the very end you're left feeling......dizzy!

Enders Game was great, but (and I think we've discussed this book before tbh), some of Cards later books in the series were downright weird. I lost interest by the 3rd one I think it was.
However, if you liked EG, read Enders Shadow, it follows Bean and its just as entertaining of a read as Enders Game is. Happy reading!

I just ordered this!
Amazon is doing some club thing where you don't pay shipping. I'm not sure of the details Leah signed me up and I gave her the books I want but basically you pay a fee and some how that fee works out to be less than what it would cost to buy them individually and pay for shipping. So I added this as well as a few others folks mentioned in my looking for something good thread. Thanks!

I liked this book, really easy to read but I guess that's b/c it's a kid's book
I had a feeling that it was real and not just training was just a hunch. Thanks for the suggestion, time to order some more books ![]()

Is Ender's Game the book about the future with the children being battlers against aliens and Ender is one of them? (I don't want to write too much for spoilers)

...Heh, yeah that one...
Ender's Game, Like Dune, is "required reading" of sci-fi. Also, like Dune, don't bother reading the sequels. Hmm....I'm repeating myself. See Filidian's "Looking for something good to read" thread. Last edited by Maniacles; 01-12-2009 at 07:04 AM.. |

While I like Mr Card's works I can't stand the egotistical sob. He's out here in Utah and on local stations quite often. To here him speak he's the only author worth a damn.
Love Enders Game though! |
