what kind of format do you have to use to send cross-server tells, or cross-game tells?

if it's like, eq2.server2.name you could probably try adding a friend to the eqim client as "eq2.server2.name"

There are cross game tells as well. In fact, we share a chat channel for guildies still in EQ1. Hell if I know the format, though.

Fazin,

The formatting is as follows...

To go from EQ1 to EQ2:

[tell eq2.<server>.<name>

To go from EQ2 to EQ1:

/tell eq.<server>.<name>

You do mention something that is interesting though, how can you add a friend to the EQIM client as you mentioned. I haven't really used it much but that would be neat if it's possible.

I never thought of a chat channel, that's pretty cool too....can you see if you can find out the format Thormir?

I'll check up on it. Probably something like /join eq2.<server>.<channelname>

I found it.

[join eq2.servername.channel

however EQ2 players cannot access EQ1 channels.
