Loved it!!!!!
Granted GL is one of my favorites I did really enjoy this movie. Like all the comic book movies they take some creative license with the lore but I liked the overall outcome. CGI was really well done, and they spot on nailed Kilawog and the Guardians. I would recommend it. Poozers. |

Isn't it being widely panned?

I have always ignored what critics give movies. Some of my favorite movies have been slammed by critics.

Yep, have to agree Grey, I loved it as well.
The only thing I had to say that didn't seem to fit was Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE Ryan's comedy, he can definitely keep a movie going. But I always thought Hal Jordan was a more serious character. This is a very, VERY small critique and in no uncertain terms affects the great time I had. Awesome flick, go see it! |

Bin, that was my original thought, but looking back before Kingdom Come, before Paralax, before Gravedigger, original Hal Jordan was a light hearted cocky fun test pilot.
It's kind of the issue with these origin movies. They are taking origin stories from the 40,50,60's and having to make them a little more modern. |

True dat, though sadly it's not doing so hot at the box office though compared to the other movies and their earnings it's doing awesome. Could it be that there is simply TOO many good movies in the theatres this year?

No because people are lazy and read yahoo/google/CNN articles about how critics slammed it and are choosing not to see it based on that.
Go to rotten tomatoes and check it out. Critics: 26% Normal People: 62% that is a huge disparity. |
