Default Hypocritical Tendencies

Personally, I am getting tired of people flaming their ex guilds. I think if you find yourself in a really evil guild, you should expose it before you leave. You still have access to GMOTD and forums and can watch the paranoia while they try to figure out who you are. Who knows? It might even make some officers think twice about screwing folks over.

Take my guild, Violent Tendencies. A nice group of people. But the officers are some real morally devoid hypocrites, who I have grown to loath.

Example:
Recently, VT got into one of its rare raiding cycles (always Chardok.) When the GL, Divinty, and her husband Unien realized that most of the live players had left, they had a recruitment phase and “absorbed” Blessed Union of Drunkards. After the honeymoon period, excited by the temporarily full roster, another VT officer decided to flex his guildremove muscle on one of them, and all BUD quit in disgust. In an effort to try to discredit BUD, Divinity removed their forum access, and Unien posted a PRIVATE conversation he had with one of them.

Last night, right after I found out Anda was removed, I wanted to see how things were being looked upon by the former guildmates, so I sent dream a tell...here's what was said...

[Tue Feb 18 02:10:37 2003] You told Dreamchazer, 'should I ask what happened with andi?'
[Tue Feb 18 02:10:45 2003] Dreamchazer tells you, 'you really want to know '
[Tue Feb 18 02:11:20 2003] You told Dreamchazer, 'well...Bright is tellng me, but...I wanted your opinion really since he/she came over with you guys and I saw you all as friends.'
[Tue Feb 18 02:11:47 2003] Dreamchazer tells you, 'Hmmm - where to begin'
I’m not going to show the whole thing, because it is obvious that she thought it was confidential. But keep this in mind next time you talk to Unien.

Posting a private conversation sucks, but being a hypocrite about it blows. Only an hour before, Divinity had posted this.

Actually, I have the conversation you two had infront of me, if you'd like me to post it, Dream. No where in it does it give a different impression - but I wouldn't do that without your permission
But you will let the guy in the same room with you do it?

Here’s one closer to home for NAG. Just last week someone was joking about this sanctimonious letter. Scroll to the bottom of this page. pub142.ezboard.com/fayonaerofrm6.showMessage?topicID=3024.topic LMAO. Divinity and Unien were almost always in the groups experiencing in the hedge. We called it our Guild secret experience place.

Stay tuned, loyal NAG readers. We have better stuff coming…porn rings and screenshots of mistells.

Oh, and to the hypocrites in VT. You thought you could control people by controlling the Guild Forum. Too bad you can’t control the public ones.

And until I choose to reveal myself, you can’t really even control your own.

Personally... I think you are high on crack if you believe Divinity and Unien are mean spirited people.

As far as removing access to the forums for people who quit the guild "in disgust", it would be common sense to remove access. Would you let an employee keep the keys to your buisness if he quit because he was mad at you?

Was that conversation posted in an open forum? If it was in their members only section, it's not exactly posting it for everybody to see. It's a fairly common reaction when people quit a guild for others still in the guild to take it personally, if the conversation was posted to clear up or shed light on the situation then it would be in the interest of the guild to be able to read it.

So do corrupt admins who move threads so that they don't have to issue their friends warnings (while warning people they don't like), and threatening people with their admin powers of knowing their ip address then publicly stating their general area of residence.

You made a fresh account just to say that?

[/i]On regards to thread movings[/i]:
If a thread is heading in a certain civil direction and someone posts profanity etc, then said person gets punished. If a thread has gone past that level long before a mod or admin gets to it, it gets moved. Its often on a case to case basis, imple as that. I asume you are speaking in regards to the guy who was selling stuff he scammed someone off. Its perfectly understandable that people get pissed of with the guy, but you are being to quickly into jumping into conclusions as to who I like and dislike. Since you know me so well, please enlighten me as to who my friends are, and who arent?

On regards to the accusation of abuse of admin powers:
I said I could, I never did. And like the guy said, it doesnt matter for shit. Its an anon flame mule so no one will know who the guy is anyway. I have very little respect for people who create flame mules to post stuff they dont have the guts to put their own name under.
