Default I have pity...

for the people who still get sucked into playing this retarded game.

About a month ago a friend of mine showed me just how much this thing really sucks u in, hadnt really understood the meaning of evercrack until after i stopped playing. I did have some good times and stuff, but i dont think it was worth the 4yrs it took from me.

Im giving you people some fun now, flame the immortal hell out of me, see if i care about it. I know i won't be waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat thinking about how im getting yelled at by people with no life still playing EQ.

Have many old friends in the game but come on people...enough is enough

Flame you for being a rational person? Don't expect much heat out of this thread as everyone comes to their senses eventually.

You don't need to have pity on me Jilo, I have been playing this game for almost 4 years now and it gave me much much more than if I spent the same time watching HBO.

I gained awesome friends (in RL too, not just in-game pixels), learned a lot about people (what motivates and what moves them) and improved my English.

Don't hate the game, don't hate the crack, hate yourself for not getting the max out of it.

I will never ever regret the time I spent online in EQ.

People who can manage the game and their personal lives to the extent that they are happy are better than me. I had lots of fun, but the toll it took on my level of fitness, my level of attention to finances (that I was accustom to before EQ), and attention to family and life-long friends was greatly unbalanced.

I have an addictive-type personality. What ever I do usually I go 100% to the extreme. For me EQ was diverting lots time away from other things I consider more important.

If you can balance your life and EQ to a level you are happy with then there is no cheaper way to have fun. Looking back now it does kinda seem like a waste of time, but there was no way in hell anyone could have convinced me of that then.

EQ did have some great people though.

i'll never regret playing a game i enjoyed playing, sorry some people seem to think a game they were addicted too was so horrible and bad that after they quit it is now a "bad" game

and sorry but i never lost sleep due to people being mad at me over a game =/, thats your issue, not the game or the developers of the game

I'm kind of in the middle here...

I do not regret playing Everquest...and think it was a great game, but, I can't say I don't regret a good deal of time I spent playing it. I made friends, and lots of fun playing, but, as Bise said "For me EQ was diverting lots time away from other things I consider more important"...namely my family.

I haven't decided for sure yet if I'll ever play another MMORG. I like what I've heard from friends playing WoW about how it better caters to casual players, so I may try it. I need to stick to games that can play for a couple hours and then put away for a few days without feeling like I'm falling behind if I do. Games that don't require one to play for hours on end....to old to power game anymore

Coming to a video game message board on the Internet and trying to tell people they're losers makes you cool IRL. Really.

Everquest made my future! IT R TEH BEST! I have to admit, when people flame me on the board and ask that I be banned...I cry...I really do. I just can not deal with the fact that people would not like me

P.S you are a fucking loser (this is the right forum, aye sanchek?!). You also cared enough to make that post...why?...Thanks for showing me the light I guess (even though I do not actually "play"). I was unsure 3 years ago when I retired my characters how I Felt about the game, but now...my feelings are set in stone!
