i read this the other day, since this is a local media outlet here. The ref that told him he couldn't play because he was out of uniform should be fired, and he should sue their asses off for discrimination.

It IS a true story though if you don't believe it. It's been all over the media here.

*nod*

I heard they wouldn't let the guy play because he didn't have on shoes and kneepads. The coach just sat there and said where would he wear em???

The tid bits I heard said the guy wrestles and does shot put too.

I just can't imagine running down the field on your hands to block for a punt return. Damn!

The refs wouldn't let him play because he didn't have Thigh Pads, Kneepads, or shoes. Their reasoning was he wasn't in a proper uniform. They said later, they made the decision because they didn't want him to get hurt, but like that's their decision to make.

The officials said Martin was violating a rule that requires players to wear shoes, thigh pads and knee pads... "They did not want to see him get hurt."
Lets think about that one shall we? They're worried he might get hurt cause he's not wearing the proper protective equipment. For his legs. Which he has none.

Jim abbott pitched without a left? hand.

although I imagine not having legs is a bit more of a handicap.

at least he'll never have to go through breakdowns and gassers.

Been trying to dig up an url for Victor Rosario's softball team, the One Arm Bandits, but not having luck. (maybe they don't play anymore?):
