Ok, speaking of affiliates, I play on Party (mostly 3-6 Omaha Hi and Omaha Hi/Low), here's my "deals" through them.
20% Bonus on First Deposit -- Ok, so that's the deal they give everyone. What happens though, if you're an affiliate, is that you get a kickback for referring people. Affiliates get kickbacks one of two ways, they either (a) get a percentage of your lifetime rake (great, for whoever got my affiliate), or (b) get a one-time-payout. The link above, shamelessly, gives me a one-time payout. There's a lot of sites out there that use their payouts to cash back to you. I've used one, and basicly, the only mistake *I* made was not using a large enough opening deposit. Party, unlike a lot of the other sites makes it pretty easy to claim your bonus cash. If you deposit $100 above, you need to play "250 raked hands" to get your $20. Well, if you just post and fold on the cheapest qualifying table, it'll cost you about $40 in blinds to make that $20. Of course, that's if you just fold. If you can afford to float $500 (the maximum upon which you can get 20%), there's pretty much $60 in free money for a short-term loan -- and that's if you just fold. You can do much better, or much MUCH worse by actually playing [Party counts a hand as "raked" if ANYONE pays the rake, not just you. Other sites count times YOU pay the rake. Caveat emptor.]So, the affiliate, ME, gets paid for referring you. In exchange, they give me the deals you see at most websites: Free PartyPoker.com Million Entry with First Deposit, $25 Extra on First Deposit or the 20% you see above. If you want to cash out and run after playing your minimum games for minimum investment, the $25 deal is, well, more than the $20 you get on the hundred. And, the same deal here. I'm a greedy S.O.B., but I'm not a heartless greedy S.O.B, so, if someone does decide to sign up through me, let me know and I'll toss 'ya back $30 through Paypal after I get paid out ![]() So, yeah, I'm The Palimax on Party, and if you want to plan a night for a private table, I'll gladly schedule something -- just as long as enough of us are playing. And, finally, look, if you sign up for Party, for god's sake, use SOMEONE's affiliate link. Last edited by Sanchek; 09-22-2004 at 08:42 PM.. Reason: You know better than that. |

What time you usually play at palimax? I'll play 3/6 omaha hi/low with you, even though I prefer PL.

I prefer pokerstars, they have better tourney options, not too mention PP's Sit N go's start you out with t800 chips, and brutal blind set up. Instead of timed blinds its like every 10 hands dealt or some nonsense. I can make money on em, but its more of a rollercoaster ride then I prefer.
Lots of fishies at the NL tables and 2/4, 3/6 + tables, but that of course means more suck outs. Thats about all I really play on PP, and thats only if I got a freeroll on PP, if I have the option i transfer the cash too PS. But I am a sit n go/tourney player so i stick with PS. 1500 starting chips and a more chilled out blind structure. I play 3 tables at once, stay away from the turbo tables(might aswell be a PP SNG). I have been playing casually a few years, have really lengthy logs, and a nice 42% in the money rate on PS(compared too 36% on PP). Anyways, good luck fellers. |

I like partypoker tournies, I do well on them cause I play very aggressive. I do not like how pokerstars looks, for some reason I really like partypoker layout/structure. Even though you get WAY more suckouts, I just play EXTREMELY tight on the NL tables. I lost an 80 dollar pot today because I figured with a 15 dollar raise on my pocket aces only big hands would call. Flop came K 2 3, I bet 5. He calls. Turn is a 6. He goes all in, I call. He makes a straight...4 5 offsuit. I was mind blown that someone called 15 dollars preflop with 4 5, especially when he said "it's my favorite hand". Anyways someone come play with me.

Buyza, sorry, I got your email pretty late that night. I couldn't play.
I've decided that Party's 3/6 Omaha Hi is the loosest game on the internet. Now, sure, a loose game has plenty of bad beats to be served up, but, man, Omaha-Hi with 6-7 people seeing the flop nearly every hand in 8 handed play? Remember, this is Omaha High: Quote:

I should host some of the pics I have, I made some disgusting bad beats on people. Hit two quads, runner runner'd a boat on a guys flush, hit a wheel straight flush and more lol. Only problem was I lost about 2/3 my stack in omaha hi/lo PL 100 dollar table with A 2 A K double suited. I raised 22 preflop. Flop came 8 6 K...two hearts (I have nuts draw for low and flush draw as well as kings). I called a 10 dollar bet. Turn is another king. So now I have top set A kicker, nut flush draw, nut low draw. Guy raises all in (pot) of about 82. I call. River is a 10 (not the right suite). He shows 7 9 A 3.... I almost lost it knowing he called 22 preflop with that and was raising on a non nut low draw and a straight draw.
