You could have at least made a forum or something instead of deciding that what WE want to talk about isn't allowed here...

But you're taking over the boards with it.
These boards weren't created for the purpose of setting up meetings between you and your friends. Nor will I ever stop controlled posts to that purpose. But it got out of line, and you know it.

Could I have made a forum for it? Probably. But I'm not gonna make a forum every time a new trend is in town. If you want to run a dedicated forum to the purpose of organizing real life meetings I'll applaud your effort. But I won't do it.

I'm not taking over the board with anything. Neither are the people who honestly want to meet people in their area. Why not just ban the spammers making useless copy-cat threads instead of locking out people trying to get together with their neighbors. [YES, there is already the everquest.meetup.com service, but it's useless for a lot of areas. -- Mine included.]

Well, fuck, I'd hate to see us do something as stupid as make new forums for new trends. Locking them all and forbidding the creation of them seems a much simpler solution.

The *absolute* worst case scenerio is you make a new forum and then nobody uses it. Oh nooooooo!
