I will be leaving Rest In Piece within the next 8 weeks. Why 8 weeks? That will become apparent as you read on.

I have done some soul searching for a few months now concerning our behavior (external-griefing the other guilds with impunity)(internal-being a member of RIP’s inner circle that is deceiving our members). I am tired of going to bed in the wee hours knowing we were doing many things wrong to others under the self-delusion and RIP leadership mantra of “Everyone Does It”. Well after some long hours of objective self evaluation I will not continue to deceive myself, RIP members, and other guilds we purposely try to KS and grief because “Everyone Does It”.

So here goes:

1. This is no longer a secret to anyone with half a brain. RIP will do anything, break any rule, steal a kill, lie, you name it. all in the name of “Everyone Does It” when we really know that is not true. Those in the guild that have questioned this behavior as of late in tells to individuals have been called wimps, sissies, or you don’t have the balls to be a heavy hitter guild so shut up!

2. When we do #1 always, always present the “misunderstand excuses” or blatantly lie about the encounter. I was personally counseled to “if we keep telling the lie over and over particularly on the boards and with exchanges with Brioma we will deflect punishment.

3. Speaking of Brioma. RIP leadership considers her the “blond dingbat” GM we can schmooze into buying pretty much anything we tell her. We go to great lengths to “nurture” a “we respect you” atmosphere but this is all a farce that has worked quite well. When we got nailed in the Cursed encounter we thought we had blown it but as all are aware we got off pretty much scot free for what really was a serious infraction. Brioma please be advised when talking to RIP leadership, they laugh at you behind your back about how easy it is to keep you “sweet talked” into letting do whatever we want.

4. We plant alt recruits in competitor guilds to feed us information as to there capabilities and when and if we need to take any action to impend their progress. We in the inner circle have had many long discussions about strategy to slow those behind us or cause discord within those above us with hope of grabbing a per keyed pre equipped member.

5. The inner circle spent this last summer setting up secret unguilded alts as a precaution in the event RIP did get banned. We have been equipping them from the guild bank and quietly back keying (or as in the case of VT share collection to the point of only needing a rift) to a point that if RIP got banned and stripped of keys at least we, the inner circle, could rebound very quickly and blend into existing high tier guilds.

Now, why leave in eight weeks? Of course to cover my ass. Needless to say when you burn a bridge with a group as ruthless and dishonest as RIP leadership your pretty much are EQ toast. And also as a bit of a payback for supporting the leadership, if you were planning on leaving anytime soon now you are trapped unless 2 or more members leave on the same day (or the leadership will think you are me).

I have decided to “start over” and enjoy the game and play honestly and fairly. With LDoN coming out I plan to leave RIP buy an E-Bay toon and pass my tradeable stuff to him and kick back and have some fun with a clear conscience.

To RIP leaders: GOOD RIDENCE! To RIP members you’re getting screwed by RIP leaders playing dangerously close to being banned and you will be left in the cold while they have planned for months how to protect themselves.

Now I can sleep.

To RiP 'assholes':
Cheating with rules is one thing, but cheating other people is something you ll have to pay one day, with high price. Now play with your councious, and of course convince yourself it is a virtual game and you can do it because it is just a game. You can do shits because none can see you face to face, fear no consequences, yes enjoy it until it is too late. I am not sayig everyone is innocent and act like a hero, but there are limits you shouldnt cross. I am not saying EVERY RiP member is an asshole, a KSer, etc... (some are indeed very nice) but there are some who really are for sure.

I really hope that 'RIP traitor' will awake some other people, and show them how their guild behaviour was sucky. Now you can judge me like i just did for you, but i doubt you will find anyone on this server who will tell you i am an asshole and a KSer. My guild LS isnt perfect, but we never has guild conflicts since i am in (several monthes), and i like it.

Now get back to EQ and have fun.

1st off, I am not in RiP, Never have been, probably never will be.

I thought that this post was pretty funny, but I would imagine that the poster isn't in RiP. Have some balls take credit for your writtings.

If you have a problem with someone or your entire guild tell them. Maybe what you say is the truth and pointing out the issues will help fix them. If they don't want to do anything then tell them you think that they are wrong and head on out for hopefully better times.

I had many issues with Palimax's old guild (Visioin) and I told them so. Did this hurt my chances in getting into other guilds, sure it did. But I told them the things that I disliked and went on. Do I believe that Palimax is a bad guy? No, but I disagreed with how they handled the guild.
