Anyone see what happened today in the 24 Miles Marathon event?
Anyways....on the last 4 mile stretch of the course some guy from Brazil was in the lead and then some random protestor runs onto the course and tackles him off to the side and into the audience. This is pretty fucked up, to ruin someone's dreams of the gold, something they work all their life for. Wtf is wrong with some people?
Brazilian guy went from having a decent lead to barely making the bronze.
I did not see that but that is disgusting. The offender should have a fair trial and then put in jail.

How about the Iranian who didn't want to wrestle the Isreali?
Seriously, if these are the world peace games, anyone who doesn't want to play nice - contestant or protester - can just go home and not be invited anymore.

I caught some tidbit on the news that this was not the first time this idiot has done such things. They showed a clip of him running down a track with race cars coming at him doing 200+mph. He was holding some sign, what a dope.
I saw that clip but didn't know it was the same guy.... he is obviously mentally off balance. He wasn't trying to get hit by the race cars but he was definately endangering others. I hope someone prosecutes him.

Yes, the law applies to all, priest, nun, or layman. hes a nut job that needs to be put away for his own safety and the safety of others. I still can't believe that the international Judo Federation didn't sanction the guy from Iran.

A bit more (http://www.wral.com/news/3690672/detail.html) on the guy and his sentence. He definitely isn't getting what he deserves.

This guy should at least be locked up in the loonry bin for a while....for his and others safety.
not that it matters,.... but it said he *used* to be a priest.
Edit: In fact it says he has been barred from practicing for the last decade (from preistly duties).

The only problem here is the lame-ass punishment given to people at present time. He should have been severely beaten then placed in solitary confinement for the rest of his worthless life.

I'm not sure why ya'll are coming down on this guy. He is trying to get people's attention about the second coming of Jesus. He was trying to tell that runner that the Lord is on the way soon. You'd think the guy would be grateful. I suspect that's why the sentence was so light.
