just wanted to post that the old iksar necromancer tzaria (me) is returning to norrath, I doubt anyone remembers me, I played up to LDoN with endgame guilds, I was mainly in vea victus, invictus maneo.

The guild I am in, Crimson Tempest, definitely doesn't prefer to hang on to players who are past their raiding days. They do have a rule though that if you were a member for at least a year, you keep your (and your alts') guild tags. Since I was with them for just shy of four years before I retired, I am still a member. In fact, they'd gladly have me back any time if time would allow it for me. It doesn't hurt that I was an officer there for some time, was always in their strat channel, and did attendance from time to time. I built up plenty of goodwill with them that they still value me (as much as they value a non-raider).

When I say I play casually, I mean very very casually. I play maybe 30 minutes in a setting once a day or less. Long enough to burn lesson on whichever character I am playing at the time (either Taleren or my bst Roethlisberger). I basically only play solo anymore because I can't commit to a group or take the time to actually find/create a group.

I only really have time for some Guitar Hero (and that's mostly because my 4 year old asks me to play it often, so the wife can't give me shit about it) and EQ before my wife gets home from work. The wife and I play some casual word games online after the kids are asleep, but the majority of our time after the kids are in bed are watching our recorded shows. I wish I had time to raid still, but I don't. I won't be a 1-2 day a week raider, and I won't leave CT to join a more casual guild, so I guess I'll 'happily' enjoy playing the way I've been playing for about the past 9 months.
