Sorry for the absence these past few months, but got married a few weeks ago and just returned from honeymoon. Was truly the time of my life. There is now a Mrs Halo running around, scary eh?

Unfortunately I see overmoderration and a general decline in posters has almost finished our historic and nostalgic little community - very sorry to see it! Never before seen a month old thread on the first page, what a sight that would have been 4 years ago!

I'll try and visit a bit more but won't be posting much in the future, my fellowship has become permanent and I'm snowed under (excuse the pun, on account of the pan-European snowstorm right now) with work. I wish you all the merriest christmas, and hope you Yanks had a cracking Thanksgiving (of course once upon a time we would have had a ten page debate about whether that tradition is imperialistic propoganda or genuine celebration, but alas!) - I'll post in the New Year and hope that goes well for everyone too.

Hope all is OK otherwise, now away with me, the Ball and Chain is already dominating!

As to the boards death it's more than just overmodding it's arrogant assholes arguing over the most retarded things for the millionith time that sealed it. Some of these guys can't get past thier retardation long enough to have meaningful debate it's more about how dicky they can be to others rather than sound educated. It's like a grown-up version of pre-school fights over the awesome toys. And most of us have just stopped participating in the slong stroking and ignore the assholes.

LOL no kidding. The thought of getting married still scares the shit out of me, even at age 35, which is probably why I am still single. Thankfully most of my relationships crash and burn before that point =P. I feel I have more things to get out of my system before surrendering to the burdens of wife, children and no longer being able to make a decision without the committee negotiation process.
