That is certainly a change from a few months ago. If we can heal relations with NK we surely can with Iran also.

Why didn't the "Glorious Leader" just jump in the water, A la David Hasselhoff in the Spongebob movie, and sink the pirate ship with a well placed headbutt?

Given Kim Jong'Il's impressive golfing skills, he should just drive some grenades onto the pirated craft, killing the assailants.

Being the incident took place in waters off Somalia, which raises the issue of distance from homeland, I think the NK captain and crew would have accepted assistance from anyone in this situation. Fortunately, it was the American Navy. This could be a boon for future negotiations, as a clear demonstration of the cooperative manner in which the two countries can work.
