27 years later. While i am not happy what happened to the child, look at all the good that has come from the tragedy.

They charged the guy but he's not had his day in court yet has he?

And yes America's most wanted has done alot of good work.

He's been dead for awhile. Not likely to be seeing that day in court for this one.

The guy was a main suspect from the beginning of this case from what I understand. Being dead kind of makes you wonder but with criminal investigation advances now vs then, they are probably on the right track.

They need to dig his grave up, and scatter his bones to the 4 winds. At least that would force his spirit to wander the earth for eternity, if you believe that sort of thing.

John Walsh has indeed been able to turn a negative event into something positive. I just hope AMW continues, and that he continues to host the show.

They were just green lit for next season, and there's talk of them going HD some time in the near future.

It's nice to see the family finally got some closure with it. I know locally, there's a case involving Jacob Wetterling, that has been going on since I can remember. I was 6 or 7 when it happened, and every so often they still talk about it on the news or the radio. Several TV shows have also done spots on him. He's also on AMW's website under the missing children. I hope one day the Wetterlings can get closure like the Walsh's have.

It is really amazing to think of all the things John Walsh has done and accomplished because of this one tragedy his family faced.

http://www.amw.com/ - 1049 captured fugitives directly linked to the show
http://www.missingkids.com/ - increased the missing child recovery rate from 62% to somewhere in the low 90s.

Not to mention all of the legislative changes he's lobbied for, such as the Adam Walsh bill. Not the easiest guy to work with, but he doesn't have the air of a "star", just a guy trying to get a job done.
