That's quite the jump there. Would the Taliban be doing the exact same thing if we weren't in country? You can just as easily turn this story the other way. The Taliban is scum, but to lay their practices at the feet of "anti-war liberals" is just asinine.

And to that end, nope, spending time with jerks like that wouldn't change my opinion on war. War leads to bad practices from all parties involved, or have you ignored the deplorable things that our military has done during the two most recent battlefields? Keep in mind, I'm not demonizing our military, but stating the obvious that war is shit.

Don't focus solely on just the bad shit our enemies do though and throw that at the feet of liberals. Our military has given those same liberals ammunition for their cause as well (hello Abu Ghraib, joy killing of civilians in Afghanistan, etc., etc.).

War is horrible, no denying that. But, this is above and beyond evil. The anti war liberal comment was the heat of the moment to get a conversation started. We need anti war liberals to keep all the war mongers in check.

Also, UN acknowledges what everyone but the US public has known for years, http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2010/12/27/un_maps_afghanistan , Afghanistan is a lost war that serves no purpose.

I'd say that's no worse than Iraqi mothers injuring their children to get medical treatment for themselves (as long as I'm bringing in my child for this issue, could you take a look at me?) because the American medical facilities at the bases and Green Zone didn't admit native adults...
