Christmas / New Years is the time for sharing, giving, and maybe most of all, love. I like to write for some odd reason, yet let nobody view my work out of fear of what people would think of me. I have written 2 poem/songs that I recently shared with a dear friend, that I will share here today. Maybe you can share them with someone you love too.
My New Years resolution is to not be afraid of what people think. What's yours?

Lookin' up into the night's dark sky,
Thinkin' of you -- a tear droppin' from my eye.
Wonderin' why...
Wonderin' why you love me,
Wonderin' why you need me,
Wonderin' why you believe in me.
You're always there,
I'm a nobody but you don't care.
Baby, I love you too,
Baby, I need you too,
Baby, I believe in you too.
Lookin' up into the day's bright sun,
Knowing in my heart that you're the one.
My search is finally done...
My search for someone to love me,
My search for someone to need me,
My search for someone to believe in me.
You're always there,
I'm a nobody but you don't care.
Together we can be happy,
Together we can be free,
Together... I complete you... and you complete me.
All of the questions have been asked,
All of our feelings and answers unmasked,
All of our priorities sorted and tasked,
And you, you are number one,
I've found that special someone,
That someone..
That someone.....
That someone.......is you.

A warm summer's night passes by,
The sparkling stars light up the sky,
Reminding me of that gleam in your eyes.
The first time I held you,
The first time I kissed you,
The first time I made love to you,
I saw that gleam in your eyes.
The gleam in your eyes still shines bright,
Piercing darkness like a star shone bright,
So many years together 'n I get to enjoy it every night.
Did I have that same look in my eyes?
The first time you held me?
The first time you kissed me?
The first time you made love to me?
Did I have that same look in my eyes?
I can tell you the answer -- you know it's true,
I had that same gleam in my eyes, just like you.
'Cuz baby I love you.
When we're together, we have that look in our eyes,
A sign of our endless love that never dies.
As a side note: I don't plan these out, I just write what pops in my head, and change little about them after they're written. I write about a lot of different stuff, but since it was the holiday season these were good to share :)
