Seems pretty CPU intensive and laggy - but nice graphics. Just trying it out during open beta and wondered if any of the familiar faces were there...

As soon as I found out they were putting spyware on my system, I stopped installing the beta. I forget the name of the software, but it was pretty sneaky how they tried to slip it past ya.

its a korean companys version of punkbuster.

Its guildwars graphics engine suped up a little. Decent game only thing i would say that makes it cool, is at level 10 you get wings and can fly, but besides that its a standard fantasy gear gathering mmo, with some minor unique points. ITs not a game changer but deffinately worht trying.

Well it has a nice idea for melee in pvp, it has melee weapons with range, so its harder to kite them.

Like, they are thrown? Or they swing and hit someone far away by magic?

Binuven, I think you are talking about this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GameSpy_Arcade#Criticism). Probably get that from FilePlanet or IGN, at least from the article. Did some other spyware come up?

I played a little and found a lot of the ideas felt like they were just tried and true, not new. Not impressed. And I hear that Blizzard is going to destroy the old WoW world in the next expansion so may just dawdle unseriously over there a bit to watch.

Next WoW expansion = years away.
Starcraft just got pushed back until 2010, I wouldn't expect another WoW expansion until late 2010 (early 2011).

Star Treck / Stargate Worlds / Champions Online are probably the big MMOs to look forward to / try for a good while.

Next WoW xpac is end of 2010 at the soonest.

No the weapons are linked kind of like a chain so you can swing the sword and it extends a bit. It does not have the range of a ranged weapon but it keeps you from being kited when you are right behind someone.

And howdy all - nice to see your names still appearing on this board. Kind of cool that the thread from A Ro has kept going through all these years.
