According to this article, Bill Clinton is considering candidacy for the post of UN secretary general (Kofi Anan's term ends in 2006)
I personally think that this is a great idea and he'd be perfect for the post. The article raises a good point in saying that it is generally supposed that China will put forth the next Sec. General of the UN.
So, what do you think?

Nah. Bill is a not a war monger. George Dubyah is still the one that has "Voted Most likely to plunge the world into war" under his highschool yearbook picture.

I didn't like Clinton as president at all, but I think he would actually be pretty good for the UN.

President Clinton would be an excellent candidate for the job. During his 8 years in office he showed a great affinity for working with foreign leaders and forging workable solutions to common problems.
Whether folks like the man or not, regardless of the behavior while president that led to scandal, it is difficult to argue the man is innately talented at problem solving and negotiation. And, were we to have an American in that post, there may be some long needed changes in the U.N. and it's functions and programs.

He also showed a great affinity for accomplishing nothing and then taking credit for all the great things a republican senate did.
On second thought, you're right. Perfect for the UN.

Your facts are all wrong. It was in Afghanestan, and it was George Bush that had him surrounded and pulled back to move his troops into Iraq.

Shit I respect any man that gets laid in the workplace. Represent!
On a serious note, Clinton has been the only president with a knack for foreign policys you guys've had in my, albeit short, lifetime. As far as americans go, he's on the top of my list.
As long as we don't get a frenchie or chinaman on the throne, I'm cool with whatever though. Kofi wasn't too bad, really. He knew he ran a crippled political organization and kept to what he could do for mankind, mostly foreign aid. I respect that, even if I wish he'd been able to do more.

I loved him as a president. Even though most republicans say all positive things he did are things Reagan and Bush setup. I think he would do well in the UN
