i dont want to /spoiler the whole thing but the final 40 are selected and its been a week so :P
I love this show. I hate the fakeness of Idol and this give me a variety. The judges this year seem to have made a point to pick non-musical acts as well as musical. WHich is a difficult call because unfortunately some of the other talents that arent musical find difficulty in performing their schtick 5ish times it requires to win.
My Favs
Neil- the large large black man
Army Guy- he is totally using the uniform to get a little bit ahead but who the hell cares, i really enjoyed his performances
Russian Board Jumpers- i am pissed they had to pull out!
James Gang- love the whole roaring twenties things

I think they did a better job of that in other years. Fully half of the acts remaining are singing acts. I can approve of the opera singers in the competition, but the other singing acts, I take issue with. There are other singing competitions they could enter be it American Idol, Nashville Star, etc.
If the act is supposed to be someone I'd pay to see for an hour and a half in Vegas, some no named singer that won this competition wouldn't be it. Terry Fator who won last year, I sure as shit would pay to see him, and I have full intent of doing so next time I travel to Vegas.
Putting through a 4 year old girl, no matter how cute is a sham. She's not going to be able to entertain an audience night in and night out in Vegas at 4. Boy Brittany? Come on, what a joke. Same thing with the Tina impersonator. Both could get small acts in Vegas, and I would take no issue with them, but neither is qualified nor entertaining enough to pay to watch for an hour and a half.
The acts this year are mediocre at best when grading them on the scale that the judges have stated. I don't see a single act in the competition right now that I would watch for 90 minutes. I too am bummed that the Russian acrobats had to pull out, they were the closest thing to fitting the bill of any remaining act in the competition.
I am not saying that talented people don't remain in the competition. I just don't think anyone remaining has a million $ talent and is worth a headline show in Vegas. That said, I love the show.

Dunno, The James Gang looks like they could do a whole show. THe dancing routines...perhaps...i did forget the Twin Violin players that could actually be entertaining.

There are entertaining acts, I agree. I just don't see one I'd watch for 90 minutes.
