Several of the people in IRC are always talking about it.

I have a Tarutaru 20mnk/12war on Caitsith, but I haven't played in the last couple of weeks because of work and Soul Caliber 2.

I have a Hume 20-ish WHM/BLM (with 25-ish WAR thrown in for variety) on Unicorn, but I got sidetracked by City of Heroes and Everquest (again).

Me and 3 people from Aro still play actively on Titan..I got whm to 75 then quit it..and restarted as warrior. Closing in on 75 with that.

On Titan theres almost NO high lvl warriors..so restarted so there'd be someone to tank the HNMs.

Looking forward to the expansion

I couldn't get into it. It was beautiful, and the FF theme was intriguing ... but that was about it. Other than that I chased bats a lot and then bigger bats and bigger bats yet. Got to level 12, then was done with it.

"Wow Darus, you are leveling like crazy..."

When my first "Set PT" broke up three months into the game I had the "Foresight" (Read:dumb luck) to take up fishing. Basically just fished for 2 1/2 months when I did play..wound up one of the wealthier titanites.

So warriors been smooth sailing..new set PT..my HNM LS is starting back up, having alot of fun.
But the experience taught me is the best way to play the game is with MONEY.
Like traditional FF games..many encounters are easier if you just throw gil at them(not literally..unlike pst FFs).

So my best advice to anyone still low lvl or starting would be to establish a decent nest-egg before you start leveling hardcore and such.

Unfortunately, that's the biggest beef I had with the game - a lack of feeling of accomplishment because almost everything could be bought with gil.

That aside, do you have your Lu Shang's fishing rod Darus? If you do, I'm just curious how much gil you rake in per hour fishing with that thing. For the amount of effort required, it must be worth it to get that many moat carp...

Older photo..but yah..I got lushang rod. I average between 65k/hour(bad conditions)....to 140k/hour(good moon).
Alot of the goof items are all EX(nodrop)..but thing is..you often need to spend millions of gil just to DO the encounters and win(chugging 10k potions, using icarus wings).
I sorta like that aspect..if nothing else its one of the things that makes the game have a "FF" feel.http://www.dominatus.com/blingbling.jpg

Fish bot anyone? You know thats illegal Darus :)

Pfft..I do use a script I wrote for myself, but only to save my hands from numbness.
60-140k/hour means I'm fishing in either Sea Serpant Grotto or Ferry.

Can't "Bot" either of those..(due to there being monsters in both that are greater then even a lvl 75 can solo)Botting only generates 20-30k/hour in saru and rabao areas. Besides..im in front of a PC for 10 hours a day alot just for work..couldn't bot if I wanted to :p . Sadly its all attended.

I never actually said goodbye after I faded away from FFXI Darus. Thanks again for all the help ya gave me in that game, I just didn't have the time nor effort for a game like it, hehe. Glad to see you're doin well.

Sok man, happy to help.

I recently quit myself, more for social reasons then the actual game itself though, I ran my server's 2nd rank raid guild, and the amount of backstabbing from so called "friends" finally got to me.

I retired the game with 411million gil(Which I can proudly say I didn't cheat at all to get...had 4 tradeskills at 100 across 3 characters), too bad gils worthless or I might considered selling it off, hah.

Currently playing WoW with a lot of people from my old UO, EQ and FFXI guilds.
(Sorta funny like that..almost like a refining process, the really good members have stayed through multiple games, and losers eventually weed themselves out).

Anyways, hope your doing ok yourself ^^.

I was going to start a thread like this myself but then I remembered this old thing. Funny what you remember when you can't remember some of the most basic questions on exams and such huh? Either way, I grew tired of playing WoW for a number of reasons and am about to move on to FFXI and now I'm wondering if anyone here on ARo still plays it?

Well, I have a quite a few questions about the game, but no use in asking those if there's nobody around who might know the answers :)

all I remember was that Chain Combos were really neat when I first joined a group that new how to use them.

I still have a toon or two active that I recovered with their Return to Vanadiel campaign... I still think it's retarded that they auto delete characters after 90 days though.
