2 things.
Are Ya'll wanting to do a board league again? I've only played FFB 3 times. twice here and once with an LF league we did so i'd rather play here with folks i know than anything else.

While I follow all NFL news closely. I only have enough time to put my Seahawks under the magnifying glass. so if any one wants to give info/analysis on thier favorite teams camps in details the fluffy national media can't or won't give I'd be all for hearing it!

I'm still tired from last year's football season, I really don't want it to be football time already :(

I'd be up for it, even if it's a smaller league. 8 team leagues can be interesting.

Also, yahoo has free live scoring this year. I'd be up for making it, I learned a lot about what not to do last year, heh.

I suppose I should defend the crown.

Post the details when you set it up!

I made the league, haven't set up the scoring or anything yet though, should work on that tonight. Will probably use the same scoring as last year.

i'm signed up. I took last year off because in the playoffs as the last seed i knocked off #1 and #2 teams and didnt want to be killed in my sleep.

Yahoo, probably should have mentioned that.

Set up the scoring/roster, lemme know any thoughts. How did ya'll like individual defense players last year? Thinking of going back to just team defense/special teams.

Will hold off on joining unless I'm needed to round things out :)

Taleren Bloodsong

I didn't like the individual defensive players at all. It just took too much time adding that into the mix with the other teams I manage as well.

velvetsilence
08-17-2009, 02:19 PM
I liked it as in gave more depth to roster management. but then i dont run multiple teams so i can see Tal's point very well. so either way will work for me. only thing bieng that it's well set what D's are going to go top 5. everyone knows the ravens are going to be 1 or 2 in D and and post good numbers as a collective but how will Ray Lewis do as an individual? Courtland Finnegan had a monster year last year but how good would he have looked without that front 7 pressuring and hurrying throws? Haynesworth made Finnegan and thats the wrinkle that makes Ind. D Fun.

Fil, jump on in darling...the water is fine.

I'm leaning towards team D, anyone else have thoughts on it? Another option would be running 2 team ds, add's a lil more depth to the position.

We're at 6 people, could use 2 more.

Two team d's wouldn't be bad, as long as one round is added to the draft to reflect this. I'd hate to lose a bench slot to be required to carry an additional defense aside from bye weeks.

After going over the D scoring you've set up i'm good with it as long as what Tal said stands with the option of 2. and an expanded slot to boot.

I m in, Hopefully my team doesn't suffer mass injuries this year.

DiscW

Added a 2nd team defense slot and kept the same amount of bench slots. 1 more person and we're at 8.

Also, how's the draft time for everyone?

velvetsilence
08-22-2009, 05:41 PM
Wouldnt mind a a draft a bit sooner by a few days. doesnt give much time to adjust before the early week 1 start locks in.

Sept. 4th through 6 is bad for me, during the work day is bad, everything else I can work around.

You guys good or need another?

DiscW

Alrighty, draft time is set at september 3rd at 8pm est, 7pm central.

Fildien, would always welcome more but we're at 8 now, so would want 1 other person along with you so it's even. Had troubles with that last year. If anyone else wants to join or ya have a friend then let's do it.

No worries, I know what an odd number can do to the mix so I'll stay on the sidelines, two leagues is enough for me! :)

Everyone should have gotten an email reminder, but draft is tonight in just under 90 mins!

Was a good draft for everyone i think. should be some fun match-ups to be had.
I'm already having a QB dilema. bench Rodgers in game one of what looks to be a pro-bowl season going against a really good Bears D (D's are always ahead of O's early on) in favor of a healthy (for week one at least) Hasselbeck going against a pretty piss poor Ram's D. gonna be a loooong season.

DiscW
09-03-2009, 10:16 PM
I've always taken very good QB's vs good D's over meh qb's with good matchups.

Greystone Thorngage
09-04-2009, 06:11 AM
i took a 3rd QB mostly cause Schaub is injury prone, and i couldnt in good concious leave FAvre sitting there for a potential huge season.

Sorry I missed the draft. Forgot about prior obligations.

As usual, the auto draft kinda leaves me wanting.

I'm looking for a WR. Got a Defense to trade and possibly a RB.
