I was involved in an auto accident on Tuesday, damages are estimated at $6900. The insurance company (we both have the same one) has not yet decided fault. I was hit in the rear left side of my car by somebody going about 15 MPH over the speed limit (40ish in a 25). I'm lucky that I wasn't hurt.

This was my car...If I get it fixed, will it de-value it at all?

Sorry to say, yes.

Fortunantly I have no horror stories, just slid off the track once at Laguna Seca raceway with no damage.

My sister on the otherhand is lucky to be alive after a few weeks ago.

Her and her stupid ass friends were going to a concert, and missed the exit. So they fucking pull into the left lane of the freeway, and try to drive over the median (gravel/dirt) at a 90 degree angle at 80mph. They wound up facing oncoming traffic and got smashed head on. All walked away with almost no injuries, while the car was utterly destroyed. Of course, the driver was on her cell phone while trying to pull off such an asinine manuver.

I don't even drive my car anymore if I don't have to, I HATE driving in this fucking city. It's like god damn bumper cars.
