I didn't want any of the Sky drops. Even gave my pearl away to Crydee so she could finish the quest for the bow.

The Pearl, which was the hardest drop for us to get for any of our quests. Got it the first raid after the server merge. Was so good to do raids without worrying about a damn KGC!!

And yes, Taleren. I am bored here. Obviously there is no where to go. The internet takes 20 minutes to load Google so that pretty much negates anything beyond this for human interaction. The Gym is only good for an hour and most of the TV is Always Forced Network or stations in Arabic from Saudi, Dubai, Kuwait or right here in Iraq. With all this bullshit going on a few miles down the road...the TV stays off. I have about 25 days left here and then this place can kiss my ass.

Man I remember the fun you're having Lummus when I was at Khobar Towers ( yes same building, but months earlier). Back then though we had no internet. So all our down time was spent in the gym or studying for promotions ( okay so I was at the end of my time in the USAF so I read for fun instead!)

Was in the best shape of my life when I came back tho. Think I spent 3 hours a day in that gym, which was actually fairly well set up!

My brother in law (in the Marines for 9 years now) has been to Iraq three times. The last two times he went and came back he's told me just how bored he was. Though he came back in some pretty bad ass shape since he didn't have much to do but work out and jog.

He's a glutton for punishment and getting shot at though. He's also a patrolman for the Indianapolis Metro Police department, and he prefers when he's in the 'bad areas of town' because there's more action than taking reports about theft from cars and the like.
