A Departure:

First, as you have probably noticed, Thormir has moved on. He's doing fine and hasn't disappeared without a trace, but time constraints will prevent him from being able to spend time here going forward.

Since he's going cold turkey, he probably won't be back to read this thread, but I want to thank him for putting in several years of work to help keep the Real Life section of the board on track. Best of luck to him at school and beyond.

And, an addition:

Second, I'm happy to announce a new moderator for the board: Anterak.

Many haven't noticed, but Anterak has actually been a moderator on the Real Life board for years. During his time here, he has shown himself to be consistently level headed, will bring a non-US point of view to things, and will be able to keep watch when the current moderators are sleeping.

I think he will make a great addition as a moderator. So, join me in welcoming him to the position (and don't haze him too much!).
