Last night I got to level 6 twice, and promptly was pkilled both times. Solo isn't safe at all ...

No, solo isn't safe at all! You have to have friends to survive after lvl 6.

Last night I got to lvl 11 with a good group of pet casters, but realized that I was still worthless because I couldn't even afford my lvl 8 pet (or any of my lvl 8 spells for that matter).

With a few buddies, this could be really fun! I'm in Nek with a necro named Zuell if anyone wants to join me.
