Want to do something pretty cool?

Ok.

Lets get a "State of the Race" on a micro level on this board.

Everyone go out and take a picture of the local Dem/Obama HQ and then go and take a picture of the local Rep/McCain HQ.

I live in Connecticut, so its not really too much of a contest here... but Id REALLY love to see whats happening in some of our battleground states.

Mine would be easy... Two storefronts with McCain and OBama boards all over the windows with no one walking in or out of either... Then again less then 2k in my town. lol This area of Colorado will be solidly McCain.

I don't know where the McCain HQ is, his presence is almost non-existent here.

How's it look over in the 6th, Rover?

Pottstown, Norristown, Phoenixville.

Gerlach has a pretty good hold on that area. But Im thinking this area COULD be big for Obama. Gerlach doesnt have a serious challenger this year there so there probably isnt much of a ground game for McCain going on, and Gerlach isnt about to go campaigning for the guy.

Actually.. a quick check tells me all I need to know.
Obama has 5 offices in the 6th.
McCain has 0

I met Gerlach's challenger Bob Roggio, I would say Gerlach is safe. Roggio has been scarce on the campaining and when he does he basically says "I'm not a republican". If anyone wants to mount a serious campaign against Gerlach they better have a compelling story to tell because, agree or dis-agree with him, Gerlach is a pretty popular guy in these parts.

My mom used to work for Rendell in Philly, and I went door to door for him in the governor race. Super classy guy, and while not as effective as governor as he was as mayor ... its great he's out there for Obama despite his closeness with Hillary.

LOL I wish I'd been keeping count of all the automated phone calls and people knocking on my door this past week. It was even more than during the primaries. I can't wait for this to be over, we were...interupted... this afternoon by Obama supporters ringing the door bell. /sigh

As L2 requested, you should provide pics so we can get a "State of the Race".
