Here is a neat site for you nature lovers. The Eagle is working on laying eggs. Sometimes you see the male show up with food.

Very neat!
Actually on Monday I'm takiing the teenager up to Lake Redmond to see if we can spy a couple of the Bald Eagles that have a nest there. It's not a sanctuary, these guys are in the wild....for now.

The Eagle is in the nest alot(Work is boring heh, 3hours of actualy work 9 hours of surfing the net). But she is nesting 2 eggs from what I saw. Every once in a while the male shows up with food but I have yet too see this live as I have seen a picture of it though..

I'm viewing at 2:30 AM EST making it about midnight at where the island supposedly is, and its bright as day there. How many hours is this delayed?

Noting how Korlis says its in the nest a lot, wonder if maybe it really just shows a highlights reel of a few days / weeks?

You are watching taped footage from today. Replay starts at dark on the west coast. Live feed will began again at dawn.

I guess that is why. So it is kind of a live feed cept at night. Also...

Thanks everyone for your overwhelming interest in my Hornby Island Eagle nest. Your enthusiasm and positive feedback is very rewarding for me! I am fascinated with eagles, but had no idea so many other people would also be.

It is my hope that this Eagle Cam will generate interest in nature and conservation. I am especially pleased to hear that teachers are broadcasting the eagles in classrooms.

As you know, the first egg should hatch around April 25th. Two or three days before the due date you will observe a small hole in the egg that has been pecked by the chick. Listen carefully, and you will also hear faint peeps made by the chick before it has even been hatched...

Enjoy the show! Doug Carrick.
