This is pretty interesting. I will venture to say that people are not going to take shit any more, the war against the banks has begun. I'm in full support of this!

I think this is a highly symbolic move that may well end up with guillotinings in the public square - but it makes a very valid point, namely that the bailout money was given to the banks in the first place for the avowed purpose of maintaining liquidity for the public good (not rewarding them for their greed and hubris) and to keep credit and this credit-run businesses from collapsing, and if they're refusing to honor existing valid credit obligations then they are acting in bad faith and whatever regulatory teeth exist in the TARP plan, and otherwise, should be applied.

I'm really heartened by this (and that President-elect Obama is also supporting the sit-in) and perhaps the revolution has come at last ;). Hold on to your m'f'ing hat!

Nydia

Yep too bad...excellent timing on the part of the justice department. Now the Bank of America can rest easy and know that they can keep the business from the Illinois state government.

How is Bank of America doing? I never hear about them just about Chase and Wells Fargo.

Fucking "A" right, I think I hear the shephard calling you, get back in line son...the cliff is approaching. Oh and by the way, it's no longer in fashion to be guilty until you are proven innocent, the people won the election not your corporate controlled pile of false prophets that you worship.

They are doing great, they got this huge windfall of cash and well, no danger of insolvency there.

You are one crazy insane hand up your backside fucking lil puppet aren't you?

Keep on calling me on O angry One, we all see you for the piece of flaming pile of crap you're turning into.

Get that shit out of your system soon bub, I'm not your whipping boy.

I haven't decided one way or another if the guy is guilty. I merely think it's far too early to jump up and down and blame the man.

Remember, you far left biased pos, he's innocent till proven guilty. That also applies to the people who charged him.

Ahhh and the Democrats aren't the party of the people. For the most part they don't represent me or mine or most the folks I know ( I do live in utah after all).

If I were you, you poor deluded medicated man, I'd worry more about Obama winning by such a narrow margin with your "party of the People" should have won by a landslide after a very poorly run race.

Yup, but I'm an also ran compared to the outrageous shameful piece of shit you've turned into.

Enjoy it bub, you'll blow up before long if you don't back off the anger train.

The Gov is merely accused, it's not time to throw out wild bullshit such as you're doing by blaming those that charged him.

Let the courts settle it, after all they do tend to swing far more into your arena than they do into mine.

Pssssst you blindly following lemming that you are, nothing has changed yet. Think first, react later and maybe that anger monkey on your back will back off and let you breath better.

/chuckle

Hard to think through the steam isn't it.

Health hint: Turn off the computer and go do something other than think you speak for the people. You don't, anymore it's a rare gem to find you speaking with anything remotely approaching coherence.

For old times sake go take a walk and breath the cool late fall air ( focking 22 deg here today shiver ).

The real joke is seeing someone articulate a well thought out post, and the response is akin to "I know you are, but what am I ?"

Rover

You gotta admit if you wrote the news the headlines would be:

San Diego Home attacks F-18 causing it to crash.

Guantanamo freedom village adds more citizens interested in becoming Americans.

Iraqi villagers detonate falling US bombs, with their heads.

All I have to say is... *mighty* interesting timing on the Blagojevich arrest. I'm sure the fact that he cut off BoA, was supporting a sit-in, and, for that matter led the Scooter Libby prosecution had *nothing* to do with either his surveillance or the timing of his arrest... ;)

Reading through the articles it shows the FBI had him under investigation for quite some time now.

Yes he was under investigation for quite some time, I wonder would he be that stupid to do what they say while he knew he was under scrutiny. I agrrree with Nydia, timing...timing.

At some point you have to climb off the conspiracy train, this doesn't only apply to you Rover, and let things shake out before you start hating on the govt.

Even Democrat party leaders are worried about this. Take time to read before you jump is my suggestion.

Oh, I wasn't for a minute suggesting that Blagojovich wasn't dirty - Philip (Faervas) was living in Chicago at the time of his re-election campaign last year and there were all sorts of corruption charges and counter-charges being thrown around then (and let's not forget where the preceding Illinois governor is currently cooling his heels). That said, given this administration's penchant for engaging in ideological witch hunts (and not hesitating to fire judges/prosecutors who weren't zealous enough in pursuing said witch hunts), not to mention the Libby issue, I'm sure he was in their sights regardless, and the timing is, to say the least, awfully interesting (42 days left to get all those 'to do' lists cleaned up ;) ).

Nydia

Well, he's been under investigation for years according to the article I linked. So maybe they're trying to wrap up existing business before the new Pres comes in and feels conflicted giving his last role.

The guy seems to be a complete dumbass and a plague to the people of Illinois. I read up on him and read most of the criminal complaint and it seems he's been dirty and only looking out for himself for a long time. The guy had the gall to say at one point he wanted to run for president while his approval rating was as low as 4% in October..heh.

Thinking about it I wonder if it's not more plausible that the incoming administration wanted to avoid this case due to conflict of interest rather than Bush and Co having a hit list.

Sort of a , hey I know this guy well and well I don't think it's a good idea to tie up my time dealing with this trash.

For the Feds to arrest and charge someone as high profile as a Governor, they had to have some substantial evidence. I am of the firm belief that for someone to wish to enter into politics and climb the ladder there is probably some inherent flaw with them and they shouldn't always be trusted at face value (Ron Paul and Obama included!) and there hasn't been many a Governor who was arrested on these types of charges that were innocent.

Hopefully whomever replaces him will at least continue carry the torch against Bank of America and the rest of the banks!

More and more poors out about this guy. It's clearly not the man against some poor downtrodden democrat.

I wonder if they delayed charging this guy because of his ties to Obama and didn't want to hear the far left cry out it was an indirect attempt to hurt Obama's run.

No win here, if this guy is as dirty as he is being charged you have to wonder wth this position does to people. As Nydia stated earlier the current Gov followed someone who is cooling his heels in a Fed prision for similar charges.

They might want to go in and clean house, investigate the Gov powers and responsibilities and make sure there's not some dirty inherent people directly linked to day to day affairs.
