It seems the former first lady was saddened by the devastation she saw in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and so she made a charitable contribution; of course, the relief money came with strings that it could only be used to buy education software from her son Neil's company.

Now I think I know where Dubya got the penchant for making a sow's ear out of a silk purse.

HISD school principals decide for themselves whether to spend their budgeted money on Ignite.

Barbara and her husband have donated more time and money to the tsunami and hurricane relief funds than could possibly be expected of them.

Seriously, get a life.

I thought they were evil space aliens, sent to turn us all into Elvis Clones, while Dale Earnhardt rides in and saves the day.

Seriously, dude, quit tokin for a few days, and the Paranoia will pass.

The videos contained in the software currently run at a rate of 30 FPS said Neil Bush. We programmed in every tenth frame to quickly flash a message on the pupils monitor that reads "Bush is never wrong invade Iran Next". We also programmed in that every 20th frame say "Poor people suck the rich deserve tax breaks"

I could care less what they have donated Akipt. I saw an article in yesterday's paper that amused me, because it spoke to exactly the decription of barbara I have read many times; i.e., controlling and manipulative. That she was able to make a charitable donation come out sounding like a sideways plug for her son's business is exactly the kind of silly silk purse to sow's ear example of what George does all the time. The intention may or may not be good, but the end result never looks great.

As long as you look for something bad in someone, you'll find it.
Gandahi and Mother Theresa probably had their moments.

Doesn't matter what GW does compared to what she does. She's not the president, and can dump her funds in whatever way she sees fit. I personally don't see anything unethical about supporting her son's business if that's what she wants to do.

Now, the president doing it is a whole nother bag of worms, but this sounds like people trying to talk her down simply for being related.

Very common for persons to want to decide how monies they donate are spent.

Truth is she donated, I donated, many donated.

Byl, mad respect for you...but did you donate to help?

No Way A Bush ever did anything good.
They are all evil, because they believe in turning a buck.
Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer are practically paupers because they give so much money to Charity Causes.
Don't you know that Democrats are the only ones that really care about the American People?
Unless those people are white, Christian, Et Al.

Poor People Get Rich Too, coming to a theater near you soon. Just $12.50 for a ticket, $9 for the popcorn, and $4 for a bottle of water. See you there.

Yeah they did. I remember reading about how Ghandi beat the shit out of British rifle stocks with his back.

Mother Theresa was much the same, she was known to have made sure that sick kids got to lay down on mattresses instead of the much more comfortable cooling sewage water running down the streets of New Delhi.
