An Arabic TV news network said today that American hostage Paul Johnson Jr. has been beheaded by his Saudi captors.
From CNN. So they have spread the beheadings to Christians now.
Isn't in the Muslim view that if you are beheaded you are denied heaven or something?
In any event, I want to know why they keep sending civilians over there. The war is clearly not over.

Pieces of shit.
Sadly though, I do not think we will ever be able to stop incidents like this.

Ok, a few things for you:
1. This was in Saudi Arabia, not Iraq. There is no "war" going on in Saudi Arabia unless you are referring to the war on terror.
2. The "beheadings" are targeted at anyone who is not a Muslim, not narrowed to Christians.
3. The government advised people to get out of Saudi Arabia weeks ago.

So that makes it all OK, then?

So that makes what ok?
I didn't say if anything was ok.
I corrected you in that the government isn't "sending civilians over there" but is trying to do the opposite, that these people aren't targeting Christians but anyone who isn't Muslim, and I pointed out that this isn't Iraq(you seemed to think it was).
Your entire post was off target.
Would you like a "redo" to better express yourself?

Why do they keep sending civilians to a war zone? Have I blinked and they are telling civilains not to go to work in Iraq? Afghanistan? Clearly, since this took place in a country that- if not our ally- is supposed to be trying to aid us, it might follow that people are less safe in countries with active hostilities.
I never said "the government", though I guess that it is one party to the problem. Plenty of people are asking to be sent over there for the high pay-
But I don't think that they should be allowed to operate in that area. It clearly isn't safe.
I also said that they had started targeting Christians now- the past two beheadings were of Jewish people (in case you didn't notice), and I thought perhaps they were trying to send a message by killing Jews. It seems I was mistaken.

"They" didn't send a civilian to a war zone.
He has lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for 10 years. As it happens, he lived outside the "expatriot" zone where he might have been better protected.

He didn't heed the warnings and suffered for it. But the terrorists are still bitches.

When you make the distinction of civilians it is implying that "they" are not civilians, ie military/government.
To answer the question you meant to ask, civilian contractors are needed for specialized tasks the military cannot do on its own in warzones. It's a risky business, and the people who take the risks are made very aware of them and take them for a large reward in the form of large paychecks or even just to help the people affected.

I agree Mazri. As long as islamic extremists live there will be situations like this. Thank god or who ever we kill MANY MANY more of them they they do of us. That thought keeps me warm at night.

'2. The "beheadings" are targeted at anyone who is not a Muslim, not narrowed to Christians.'
- Hmm, didn't they have Turks captive? Not beheaded, yet I don't think. But it appears to me they're not discriminating, their only basis need be that your assisting the coalition.

Well that was quick.
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - The leader of al-Qaida in Saudi Arabia was killed Friday, Arab satellite stations Al-Arabiya and Al-Jazeera reported.
The news was given in a scrolling news bar at the bottom of the screens.
Abdulaziz al-Moqrin is at the top of the list of suspects in Saudi Arabia and is believed to be the leader of the group calling itself al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which claimed responsibility for the beheading of American hostage Paul M. Johnson Jr.
Johnson's body was found Friday.

Hopefully the day the killer asteroid strikes the planet, it hits the Middle East. Maybe then I will go back to church, because then I will once again believe that there really is a God and that even God has finally said "ENOUGH. I am settling this situation for everyone! You all can fight over a smoking crater since the 40 days and nights of rain didn't seem to work"
Israel gone. Iraq gone. Iran gone. Saudi Arabia gone. Jordan gone. Syria gone. All the Holy Lands gone. All that friggen oil gone. All the land that represents all the mistakes and anguish of Humanity gone, just like that. We might end up with happy alternate fueled peace for everyone, because the Sun doesn't give a hoot what religion a solar panel is.

Yah well, no one gets out of life alive.
As for the intelligent comments part, its been over 2000 years and some of the best minds of the past few milleniums have yet to find a solution that all parties in the Middle east can live with or at least Co-Exist with. So, unless you have something better to suggest Halo, besides kill all Americans and Impeach President Bush, then by all means, spit it out.
Personally if we can't turn that region into a glass parking lot, then maybe we should figure out how to just not do business with them so we don't have to butt into their business. If they want to kill themselves? Great! have at it gang! As long as we don't need your oil then you can go to Hell in a handbasket. But, we still need to leave all our lights on when there is no one in the room, drive huge gas hogging SuVs and use lots of plastic to make packaging for the packaging for the wrapper for everything, right?

Those people have been fighing for so long that its what they are. They are born knowing only violence and hate. I think if somone found a good solution for the land disputes it wouldn't matter. They would still hate . They would still kill.
Disclaimer: when I say " those people" I mean the extremists, not all middle eastern people.

'As long as we don't need your oil then you can go to Hell in a handbasket.'
- Yegods, you're on a roll with the intelligent comments on this forum lately.
Perhaps you should joke about raping someone, perhaps a bit of child killing, and then tell us how you love watching people being shot in the head.
Then maybe we'll have the entire psycho-mentalist deal going on.
