I don't think anything in the world has been more frustrating to me than trying to find a way to use my MP3 player while I'm on the punching bag. Problem solved.

Good idea, but cant they make em less headphonish? Like little ear pieces? I couldnt picture myself walking the street with those big metallic earmuffs on my head.

The way they're designed they still could come off your head, wireless or not. Its just less likely. You need something like the headphones that have the connecting piece sitting behind your head, or like Jacy said ear pieces. Although ear pieces have to be a pretty snug fit for them to stay at all (speaking from experience, the pair of "ear pieces" I had for a long time started falling out after a while because they didn't fit very well.)

Those look very neat. But $200? ouch. That sound better be effing sweet for that price.
Now if only there were a headset version.

I think the other reason is to provide room for batteries.
After putting up with static from cheap 900MHz wireless headphones for a long time, I finally broke down and bought Amphony H2500 digital wireless headphones. They're expensive and rather bulky, but they sound great everywhere in my apartment, and they run for a long time on rechargeable AA batteries. At the time they were the only wireless headphones I could find that wouldn't annoy me with static.
It looks like these headphones are lighter than mine, and the transmitter is portable too...interesting.

If they'd stay on my head, they'd be awesome. I could just plug the transmitter into my MP3 player and not have to carry it around at all while I'm working out. In fact, 30 feet would probably reach from my computer to the garage where my gym's at. That'd be even better.
I'm kinda iffy about spending $200 not knowing if they'd stay on during exercise though.

If you're using them at home anyways, why not just use a stereo?

Either you don't have one, or your stereo doesn't have a jack you could hook an MP3 player into. The latter is my problem, though I don't really work out so it does not matter too much to me what kind of head phones I'm using.

If the stereo has any type of audio input, you can get a converter to hook the mp3 player for it for cheap at radioshack or whatnot. The basic one goes into the digital out or headphone slot, the other one in the left/right audio in slots.
