I happened to glance at the Target ad in yesterday's paper, and saw for $19.99 a two pack deal of Buffy Season 1 & 2 (complete) on DVD.
Went over this morning, and there were two left in the store, one of which had the wrapping torn off. I bought the other one.
Now, how long do I have to wait for 3 & 4 to be packaged like this? :p

Bought those a long time ago when whey came out one by one :P
One thing you should keep an eye out for, deal wise.
Whenever best buy gets an over inventory on seasons, they usually sell them for buy one get one free.
I know I picked up all my older seasons of stargate sg-1 this way.

Got the entire box-set, it is one of my most prized possessions. Bought it a good few months ago on Amazon for as low as 50 quid, or about 80 dollars (roughly?). Can get a good bargain on it, 30 dvds with extras, not half bad.

Walmart has the first 4 seasons at 15 bucks a piece. I am only missing 4 and 5 to complete the series

Once More With Feeling? I really need Kiv and Val for this, but here goes...
*clears throat*
She snores,
He wheezes,
Say 'house work' and he freezes,
She eats these skeezy cheeses that I can't describe...
Thank you, thank you *bows*

This got me thinking, and after some looking around I found a good buy on the collector's box set, and I am loving the special features; listening to Joss and the other folks behind the scenes, as well as the actors, discuss the intricacies of this series is great.
Watched "Hush" last night, with a new appreciation for what was involved.
What a great series this was......

Yes - but also it's got a bad side in that everything I watch now is compared to the hidden genius that is Buffy and Angel - and it all kind of comes up empty. So damn Joss for making TV mediocre since!!
I had a late appreciation for Season 4. Not until the series had finished and I got the boxset did I drop my prejudice against Riley and the Initiative (a combo I found too hard to swallow when the series was still running) and now it's definately one of my favourite seasons.
The Freshman - definately one of the best season intro's in any series, ever.
Fear Itself - Anya as a bunny, Giles with a chainsaw (and with his poncho hate... 'It's alive!!'), the iddby-biddy Fear Demon, all good.
Wild At Heart - Oz leaving.. still gets me teared up!
Pangs - the thanksgiving one where Indians crash the meal round Giles' house. Spike: 'You made a bear! Undo it! Undo it!' And Angel popping in - perfecto.
Hush - 'nuff said. The gentleman were skin-crawlingly good.
A New Man - All giles, 'I refuse to become a monster, I am a human being, I have a soul-oh, stop the car.' Gets out and chases Professor Walsh down the street 'ROOOOAAARRRR'. Gets back in car. 'Ok, let's go then.' Oh, oh, and "bloody humans!!" Comedic genius.
This Year's Girl / Who Are You - Faith, 'nuff said.
The Yoko Factor - Funniest scooby fight ever: 'Wait, Tera's your girlfriend??' *giles from upstairs* 'Bloody hell..'
Primeval - cool First Slayer Spell and matrix-like fighting against ADAM.
Restless - my favourite Buffy episode in the entire show. 'Make some room for the cheese slices...'
5 Stars for Season 4!!

5 Stars for Season 4!!
Yes, many fun episodes and new directions with the characters. "New Moon Rising" also had a special little scene for me: Oz has returned and is in the school hallway about to bump into Tera, when they show a poster on the wall for an upcoming concert by 'The String Cheese Incident', one of my favorite bands. Had not paid attention to the details before like I am now, so was fun seeing that.
