Well, he has barely 3 months left before the new President is sworn in and he is still trying to quietly change the rules for how government works. He can still surprise me in his arrogance. And, McCain has not given any indication that he would do anything different.

Unfortunately neither has Obama. The entire campaign season has addressed this issue zero times, and it's by far the most important one that will define the historical context of presidencies in the early 21st century.

Actually, the article I linked states Obama has said organizations receiving grant money should not engage in discriminatory hiring. While that is a weak statement, it at least goes against what the practice of this administration seems to be.

Biden at least spoke out against the abuses of the office done by Cheney, while Palin basically sounded like a clone of Cheney without the connections.
