I have a Wii and Xbox 360 , but I want to get another gaming system for my bedroom so I can use it as a dvd, netflix etc.....

I am leaning toward PS 3 simply because I don't have one. Does anyone have anything truely negative to say about the PS3 that would dissuade me from getting one?

They are about the same price as all the other systems it seems....

I want to get one tonight or tomorrow if possible so Any input is appreciated...

Well if you have a Wii and the 360 already it seems like you've already made your mind up for the PS3 :)

I loved the Dreamcast. I played Toy Commander with friends for hours.

Bise, I just traded in my PS3 b/c I used it solely for a Blu-Ray player and since there are players out there that already stream netflix, blockbuster, youtube and pandora and are cheaper I nabbed one of those Black Friday for $150.

The PS3 got traded in along with a bunch of awful PS3 games for a Wii/WiiFit system that I just love goofing off on.

My advice with BluRay players that are wireless, make sure they don't take propriatary (god I can't spell) adapters unless you have a physical connection available otherwise figure that into the cost. But I'm happy with my player, it's smaller, quieter, and finishes off my LR entertainment system nicely. And jesus it loads the discs so much faster than the PS3! :)

So unless you're just a really big fan of the PS3 only titles stick with the 360, the PS3 left me wanting......wanting for something like Live, wanting for a controller that didn't feel like a kids controller, wanting for good games.....

I must admit that while I like the ps3 itself better, the Xbox has a much bettter games library even excluding the 50 billion shooters. I'd probably still buy it again if I was out shopping this year, but it does lack a lot of "gotta have it" games and the internet content capability is weak, to say the least.

I spent the better part of a week last year trying to get a simple, reliable uPNP setup going for it and the pain in the ass that was trying to play anything but mpeg4 encapsulation made it completely not worth it.

Intellivision!!!!

Errr in all honesty I owned a 360 and a PS3. I got rid of the 360 and still use the PS3 daily, it's library is growing rapidly and is going to quickly outgun the 360 ( not to mention you have to pay to play online with the 360).

Hey, neat, http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/ now has a workable uPNP media server for the PS3.

I played San Francisco Rush 2049 with a room mate for hours on end on the Dreamcast. Stunt mode was awesome.

I bought my DC at midnight on 9/9/99 ; D

I play Tekken 6 and Madden 2009 online, looking at picking up other titles. Very happy with the ease of going online and playing instead of wondering where I can purchase online time for my old 360...just wasn't worth it.

Xbox live subs are sold eevveeryywwhheerreeeee. That's like wondering where you'll find milk.

There's not much reason to get a ps3 if you already have a 360 other then if you think it's worth it to play the exclusives. That or all your friends are stuck with ps3s. If you have the money to throw out there just for those reasons, go for it.

no kidding I see live cards sold at walmart these days where do you live that you can't find them?

I just pay the yearly sub b/c it's like $50 some bucks and you don't have to worry about anything. xbox live is just night and day better compared to the PS3 network, of course this is just my opinion really but I game allot :)
