So someone needed to know what this computer cable was (long story) and I haven't the slightest idea, even after looking all over. I've never seen the white square connection before. Any ideas?

Looks like a proprietary KVM switch cable.

My first glance was that it was a weird KVM also, but realized it wasn't when I expanded those pictures. The one end is VGA ( 15 pin D-Shell), S-Video ( the mini din 4 connector ), and possibly a PAL/Composite Video plug ( the RCA jack ). The other end slightly resembles DVI/DSP/ESV type connector, but whatever it connects to is proprietary. Possibly a digital projector of some type?

For that square one, the closest match is "29 pin ATI special connector":

Still can't find any device that uses it, though.

Looks like it's for some recent ATI video cards.

That is used on the AIW 8500 DV.

Here is a picture of that cable.

I don't doubt that it is for a video card or some other video device, it definitely appears to be a digital to analog video cable, but that one isn't it.
I love to watch you guys work!

Thanks for the help all. Due to recent circumstances the person hasn't been able to look for a replacement, but I appreciate the help.
