I was bored last night and stumbled onto this forum (which shockingly still exists). To my surprise I found posts in the last week from Greystone, Saeliel, Immortalis and Fandros.
How have you all been? I am in my second year of law school at the University of Texas right now, so my life has been a bit chaotic. Any of you going to be at E3 this year?
If I forgot anyone who posts here and who knows me, stop in and say hi.

I'm considering it Sal as it's only a few hours down the road for me. Still rolling in EQ ( took brief stops in Warhammer, WoW, CoH, SWG and AoC ).
Glad to see you're doing well in law school man, keep at it!

How is E3 a few hours down the road from Utah? lol. I'll be there for one of the days. I'll PM you my e-mail so you can let me know if you decide to go.
Did any of you guys end up playing eq2? I know drizzen was the GM of FOH for a long time, but he quit a while back (I played for a bit but quick last year).

Feh I was thinking of the big Sony fun in Vegas at the end of June.
You couldn't pay me enough to drive down to that awful traffic mess they call LA. Did that for a few weeks long ago and ugh.

Well, I can't dispute that other than to bring up the reality of Lucifer being a fallen angel.
So , I guess you are an angel!

LA is not so bad, Fandros. Buy a Harley and you really get to liking California. Spent 4 years living a bit north of LA. I miss alot of it but the traffic and some of the wierdos not so much. Can't beat the nice days on the bike going down the PCH or up to Ohai or trips to Ana-crime or Downtown. its hard to beleive how drunk you can get at Medieval Times!

My Harley days are behind me since I was lucky enough to suffer a back injury I'm afraid. Would it be as fun to get a convertable and do the same? ;P

My thinking would be yes. I sold my last Harley in 1990 when my back was bothering me too much, and only last year got back on a bike, albeit a 650 Yamaha; now, my back has started bothering me again. I am thinking a Saturn Skye would be as much fun for taking those leisurely cruises with less chance of a large bug hitting the forehead at 70mph.
Only drawback is the element of foreplay the Harley presents for your companion, as no matter who the gal, after a day of a long ride it was always straight to the sack when we got back. Something about that vibration. :D

Fandros nor Jedd ever did make it to any of my get togethers, shame, although I do recall Tierfen saying he met you Jedd.
Sal, crazy that you're in law school and I'm transfering to medical school, days of Heschel seem so long ago don't they?

Just saw this - cause I don't come here very often. I'm just bored outta my mind at work right now...
You guys talking about bikes makes me sad - I just survived what easily could and probably should have been a fatal crash earlier this year in August. I was doing about 75 in the center lane of a 3 lane highway, during lunch rush hour traffic when a mustang cut me off and slammed on their breaks. I was wearing absolutely zero protective gear at all, and was even in short sleeves for gods sake. Don't ask me why, but for some reason I tapped my front break and it locked up and I immediately went down hard. Police said I slid 180ft - I went to the hospital, but walked away with only A LOT of skin missing, and a loss of my riding innocence
Bike was totaled, and I was doing contract work at the time so I had no insurance - hello 15k worth of medical bills! I doubt I will ever buy another bike and tempt fate again...

Good to hear you came out of the accident in relatively healthy condition!
Bad to hear about the idiot driver, the bike and the medical bills.

I'd hate to see the road damage which you slid on! I'm sure you tore the road up with you being a total BEAST and all ;)
Glad everything is alright <3

Also, I don't know how much $15k in bills hurts you, but you are able to negotiate the fee to bring it down (if you hadn't already). Something to think about!

Im very lucky... not many people can fight the pavement to a draw! ;)
As far as the bills, I'm still working on getting my application for financial assistance pushed through the systems. We shall see...

Glad to hear everything is going well for you Karl. Where did you go to undergrad? I'm a bit confused though. How do you "transfer" to medical school?
Anyways, gotta get back to studying for finals.

Its pretty easy Mike, the JC i'm currently attending has a program with UC Davis where if I complete the courses offered through the JC (i.e Microbio, Biochem, Genetics, etc) then I earn a basic free pass into UC Davis' vet school program, which I am currently in the process of finishing up and transfering to.

Ah. That makes sense. You had said medical school, so that was the root of my misunderstanding. Nonetheless, vet school is a far superior choice. Animals are much better patients than humans. Let me know how it turns out for you.
PM me your phone number too. I graduate in May and we can catch up when I'm back in LA.
