How anyone could say capitol punishment is horrible and should never be used after looking at this case, might have a second thought on that.

I'm against capital punishment not because I think it's cruel and unusual, when I see a piece of shit like that my first reaction is that I could easily shoot him in the balls and use him as a seat while I eat my lunch while thinking of other ways to make him suffer before I kill him, but why kill the guy and give him the out? I say lock him in a 4x8 cell with a 5ft ceiling and give him a mattres and a toilet and shove some food through a slit 2x a day.

Keep him that way for as many years as it takes for him to die, and again I say; Don't give him the out!

Only problem is, at $35k - 65k, depending on the state, per year, to house an inmate in a state penitentiary, a bullet does become more appealing. If there is honestly no flimsy talk of any attempt to rehabilitate, but only to house the person the rest of their natural life, we are then looking at spending in excess of $1 million to cage an animal.

I am against capital punishment in many of the cases others would probably vote in favor; but, anytime a child is involved as a victim and I see a future of nightmares and therapy replacing a life of innocence and discovery and learning about the world around them, I have no second thoughts or doubts at all about putting a bullet into the brain.

Sure, most predators of children are going to spend some terrible time in prison anytime they are not in a protective custody situation, and the consistent beatings and rapes they will endure are justice, and in many cases will eventually lead to suicide. But, we are wasting tax monies better used during that period; just punch their tickets and be done with it.

Until we have a remote island (like in the movie) where a prisoner can just be dropped to fend for himself at no further cost to society, capital punishment will have a necessary place I believe. I view it as abortion; a necessary thing that should be used as infrequently as possible, but that should be available as an option.

I've often said Alaska has a huge amount of undeveloped real estate that would lend itself to just such a project. Dorp them off above the Arctic Circle, and say, "Good luck surviving."

The cold, and the polar bears should do the rest.

I am whole-heartedly in favor of the death penalty in extreme cases where the evidence is irrefutable....and I will volunteer to be the executioner. My biggest worry with the death penalty is mistakes, if the death penalty is possible in a case, the scrutiny has to be very intense.

Life in prison is wasteful, as By pointed out. This pile of crap has no chance of ever being rehabilitated and his victims, those that live, will suffer, for their entire lives. Why does he deserve the same sentence. He should die.

Dorp them off above the Arctic Circle, and say, "Good luck surviving."

Drop him at the south pole with a wind breaker and a can of Dinty-Moore stew...no can opener of course.:devil

Don't you all every watch science fiction? The whole 'leaving them somewhere to fend for themselves' bit usually comes back to bite you in the ass.
