It was so good to watch. Found myself tearing up like i did in 2004 with the Red Sox. Watching Paul Pierce hold back tears for the whole thing made me feel like less of a wuss :P
On to this season.
Playoff seeds:
EAST
#1 Celtics
#2 Orlando
#3 Cavaliers (after they lose first round, LeBron bolts for Europe)
#4 Detroit
#5 Philadelphia
#6 Chicago
#7 Toronto
#8 Miami
WEST
#1 Lakers
#2 Hornets (i so want to put them #1 but CP3 needs a few more players around him)
#3 Spurs (this is their final run then the team starts to break up/retire/trade/free agent away)
#4 JAzz
#5 Rockets
#6 Suns
#7 Mavericks
#8 Portland (this is a risky pick imo, but watching some preseason, and barring that foot injury from last night is just a tweak i think they can pull it off.)
Finals:
Celtics vs Lakers
I really dont see anyone in the East taking down the Celtics. They are only going to gel better as a team. Their defense is wicked sick and their offense is too diverse to guard. As far as the Lakers, i hate Kobe, but i think he can do it again, though i think it will be a HARD road and i think the Hornets are NOT going to make it easy for them.
League MVP: Chris Paul
I thought he should of won last year, and he is so young he can only get better. I am not saying next Jordan...but i am saying he is going to be on legend status when he retires. He is too good for what 3rd year??

That's good, because Paul is a point guard. He's nothing like Magic as a point guard though, and he's definitely nothing like Jordan. I'd compare him more so to Isaiah Thomas than anyone else I've ever seen play (of course that was when people had a positive opinion of Isaiah the player, not the coach, ruiner of teams, and ruiner of the CBA).

Chris Paul was a whiney faggot in college. I'm glad he finally grew up although I still hold much disdain for him:(
Also I can't believe you just predicted every team that would make the playoffs lol. You do realize over half the teams in the league make the play offs right? I could randomly choose the teams to make the playoffs and either meet or exceed your predictions just based on probability.

I think Toronto will finish higher than 7 in the east. I think Philly will be lower than your prediction Grey. I think the Rockets will finish 3rd in the west, ahead of the Spurs.

The Bucks suck bad. They came so close and now have gone so far away from anything. I could get luxuary box seats to most games, I don't even bother.

Kevin Garnett was always a favorite of mine, and I still have an assortment of autographed stuff from him, plus cards. I still think he could have brought the Wolves a championship if Marbury had stayed and not been so greedy for attention, but I have no problem cheering him in his new home.

Im pretty close with grey opinion in the east.
1 Boston 2 Orlando ( Udonis Haslem is going to have a rocking year )
But really believe West is going to be fought out between Lakers Houston, if Yao Mcgrady stay healthy this year. Artest is a huge pick up and other than injuries they have the experence depth to beat Dallas and the hornets.
OipCP3PWNzU ~ He won me in two leagues last year with camby.

My concerns with Artest is still his attitude and his inability to merge with a team.

He looked great with the team last night. He did NOT deserve the technical he got last night as he was just trying to get Yao out of an altercation. He scored 29 last night, and T-Mac looked genuinely enthusiastic cheering for Artest.
As of right now, he looks like he's gelling perfectly. Of course, it's just one game into the season, but it looked like a statement game against Dallas last night. IF (and it's a BIG IF) Yao can stay healthy, Houston is going to be tough for any team in the NBA. Their only weak spot I see is that Rafer Austin (sp) is not all that good at an NBA style game. If they could trade for a good, young (not Jason Kidd) point guard before the trade deadline, they will be unstoppable.

how was Yao's mobility. i think his persistant foot issues is going to slow him down.
