CAPITAL GAINS TAX
MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.
OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)
DIVIDEND TAX
MCCAIN
15% (no change)
OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA
New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

They forgot to add:

1) Wants to show pornographic movies to kindergarten children

2) Uses metaphors to describe opponents policy but is diabolically smearing women.

3) Wants to surrender whenever another country gets mad at the US.

4) Went to a Madrassa and is really the head of a muslim sleeper cell attempting to gain access to the whitehouse so he can blow himself up in the oval office.

5) Has a brother that is a leading revolutionary in Africa who drinks goat milk and wants to take away our freedoms.

6) Is an elitist who likes arugula and wants all Americans to eat funny named lettuce while he hordes all of the regular lettuce.

7) Understands that there really is just one Islam, the terrorist breeding one, and that Sunnis and Shiites all look and act the same so they must be the same.

A few things wrong right off the top:

You can't will a business to someone, they can buy it from the estate and any half assed attorney can get that business for the family members for a token amount.

And all of the rest of it is pure bullshit.

Like I have said, this campaign is going to just keep getting nastier.
Next up will be the spin on McCain's service.

"Barak Obama! He never was shot down and lost an aircraft to the enemy. He did not spend 5 1/2 years living with our enemies while other American soldiers were dying. Vote Obama!"

The thing is, the Obama campaign would not stoop to this, like a campaign run by Rove or his clones would.

Supports abortion throughout the pregnancy
No
Yes
incorrect.
"On an issue like partial birth abortion, I strongly believe that the state can properly restrict late-term abortions. I have said so repeatedly. All I've said is we should have a provision to protect the health of the mother, and many of the bills that came before me didn't have that." -Barack Obama

Would pull troops out of Iraq immediately
No
Yes
No, 16 month withdraw, subject to conditions on the ground. As stated repeatedly.

Supports Gun ownership rights
Q: You said recently, "I have no intention of taking away folks' guns." But you support the D.C. handgun ban, and you've said that it's constitutional. How do you reconcile those two positions?

A: Because I think we have two conflicting traditions in this country. I think it's important for us to recognize that we've got a tradition of handgun ownership and gun ownership generally. And a lot of law-abiding citizens use it for hunting, for sportsmanship, and for protecting their families. We also have a violence on the streets that is the result of illegal handgun usage. And so I think there is nothing wrong with a community saying we are going to take those illegal handguns off the streets. And cracking down on the various loopholes that exist in terms of background checks for children, the mentally ill. We can have reasonable, thoughtful gun control measure that I think respect the Second Amendment and people's traditions. -Barack Obama

Supports homosexual marriage
For many practicing Christians, the inability to compromise may apply to gay marriage. I find such a position troublesome, particularly in a society in which Christian men and women have been known to engage in adultery or other violations of their faith without civil penalty. I believe that American society can choose to carve out a special place for the union of a man and a woman as the unit of child rearing most common to every culture. I am not willing to have the state deny American citizens a civil union that confers equivalent rights no such basic matters as hospital visitation or health insurance coverage simlpy because the people they love are of the same sex--nor am I willing to accept a readingof the Bible that considers an obscure line in Romans to be more defining of Christianity than the Sermon on the Mount.

The heightened focus on marriage is a distraction from other, attainable measures to prevent discrimination and gays and lesbians. -Barack Obama

I could go on, and on, and on...

All of those tax points are based off totally erroneous calculations that intentionally ignore marginal tax rates. The original authors have been so thoroughly debunked as both stupid and dishonest it does not surprise me they are now the most published tax essays in the US.

We deserve what we do to ourselves.

Yes, he's very informative and has a great knack for proving not only the positive aspects of the Obama/Biden ticket but in pointing out the inconsistencies, hypocrisies and ignorance of the McCain/Palin ticket.

Not to get into a pissing contest but he was rebutting something that was very biased against Obama so let his bias slide.

It wouldn't be right to let something so negatively biased or positively biased, that are obviously lies, against a candidate go unanswered.

I mean think about it, if someone was to post that John McCain has consistently voted in favor of helping veterans with comprehensive programs that would have not only shown those veterans an appreciation for their service but also gave them the treatments and or benefits they needed. If it were to say McCain did that it would be a lie.

But if we were to say, John McCain has voted against every bill that was in favor of veterans benefits. That would be true

So in that respect we would have learned alot of unbiased truth about McCain.

Now if we were to say Sarah Palin has the experience needed to be president because she can see Russia from her house. That would be an unbiased yet half true issue making the first part of the statement a lie, the first part being she has the experience especially in foriegn policy but the second part is not disputable because the McCain campaign, Fox News and Palin herself said that.
