As much as I would like something to come of this, it seems more likely that it's sour grapes from an AD on his way out with a grudge than anything substantive that could lead to any actual criminal conviction for Cheney. Not that I don't agree with the charges, but I'm also realistic.

It has a 99.9% probability that it is what you said, but at least it places a mark on his record.

Heh, there's a reason they're all moving to places like Dubai. No extradition treaty.

Oh no, a mark on his record. Now folks will think he's less than honest. Hell everyone had a such a great opinion of him up until now. It's not like his record already held tons of marks that would have marred his reputation.

Nope, not at all ;P

Taleren is right, this has all the earmarks of a a vendetta. Not that I doubt Cheney could do something like this. Just the manner this is being run and thrown out as chum to those who already dislike the man.

I know its tough when one of your heros gets indicted, but relax, hes not gone and continue his crusade against constitutional rights.

He's not one of my heroes ya poor delusional man (keep making things up about me, you're batting 0 for err 10 I think it is). I refused to vote for Bush the first time around based largely on Cheney being picked as his VP.

I think this "guilt by indictment" started when Nixon was in office.....

I dont think anyone implied guilt...it clearly states it was an indictment.

Fandros, you're as right wing as they come, you love Bush you love Cheney. You have stated many times here your disdain for those who don't support them.

Hey they keep your avionics job going.

You're a clueless feckless lil man who's jumped up bullshit is nothing more than a sour lil reaction to life treating you unfairly.

I'm not right wing by today's definations at all bub. I'm a moderate who was never a supporter of Cheney and certainly didn't want Bush the first go round. I voted against his Father during his second term due to lies and feelings he wasn't a capable man.

You , on the other hand, are a tool. You vote all Democrat every time you pull the lever because you are incapable of independent thought. Quit grasping at my job or who's responsible for it. You have proven to everyone that you haven't a damn clue what it is I do and who it is I work for.

You'd think with your man in office you'd stop being a bitter lil chump. Instead you are just looking for more ways to be just as pissy.

My "disdain" as you are barely capable of saying it was at such as yourselves who constantly lumped every decision as a be all tell of of Bush and the party of Republicans. Again, not capable of seeing good in anything you don't stand behind you instead attack if it doesn't have your logo on it.

Oh, and let's not get into jobs and the morality behind them...you don't want to go there ;)

Can we split this thread off please.

The Fandros vs. Rover hill billy type feud has run rough shot through a number of posts. Although thier declarations of love for one another is amusing, the derailments are becoming quite annoying.

Cheers,

That being said you are correct, I shouldn't allow the slings and arrows of a known opponent drag me into the mud. I'll behave.

Apes like you can't behave, you're untrainable other than your pechant for slinging your right wing nazi pooh at those who find your disdain for the constitution an insult.

This indictment is meaningless.

That said, any reasonable American doesn't need an indictment to know that Cheney is a piece of shit who stepped all over the Constitution. If you're even remotely informed, it's as plain as day.

I didn't think you could fit that many adjectives into a sentence without descending into incoherance....

It's been obvious for a few months that something is bothering Rover....just let it work itself out, and maybe there will be fewer mean spirited posts before long.

I'm not so sure this is meaningless:

Cheney is accused of responsibility in prisoner abuse because of his financial ties to the Vanguard Group, which invests in private prison companies. Guerra estimates that Cheney has $85 million invested in Vanguard, a financial stake that Guerra says motivated the vice president to halt a 2006 investigation into a prisoner's death.
