What'd I miss?

a kid who had cancer visited this paint ball site, during one of his live chats he was talking with a guy, answering all his questions, the guy was diagnosing him over the internet and basically found out what he had and what he was experienceing at the time (along with his medication), the kid and his dad found out he had some medical experience figuring out what the kid had and his problems

the kid ends up talking to him one day over the phone and the guy asks the kid what he didn't get over christmas but really wanted, the kid wanted an xbox really bad, the persons responce was "you'll have it very soon," the kid not knowing what he ment said he would work for it hard.

the next day some girl comes up to the door with a huge wrapped present, it was the kids biggest wrapped present ever, opens and its an xbox, completely set up to be wireless (so the kid didn't have to move to chang anything) with 10 games, and prepaid 1 year of xbox-live membership

the person also had a technician come over to set it up and set them up with 1 year of broad band pre paid

over all, the dad was very happy, never being able to afford any of this, he said he was in tears and a bunch of other mushy stuff, hopefully its a true story

It would be great if the whole story is true, other than the kid being sick. After looking over the thread and reading the replies by the people actually involved, it really does seem fishy though.
