It was meh.

I mean, the special effects were cool, but between the fucked up time line (ahem, 10 days going from green fields and ocean to desert and back? Please), the butchering of the story, and the really shoddy writing I was left wanting.

Don't get me wrong, I was entertained for two hours simply by the graphics alone, but the dialogue made me squirm at times it was that bad.

10 years ago I'd let this pass, but the bar has been set so high these days that it's hard to excuse this type of shoddy work.

At least the Kraken looked bad ass, and the ageless chick was smokin hot!

I questioned the time line to, but then I said, "Meh, its a movie" and just rolled with it. I was entertained, I didnt feel my money was wasted, good enough in my book.

Totally agree, whoever that actress is, she's ridiculously hot.

Man was this horrible. The graphics were uninspired too. What really underscores this is that's is just a bad remake of the 81, they added nothing, changed some things for no reason, and generally forgot to make it at all entertaining. This must have been great for Neeson and Fienes though -- "Hey guys, can you stand on this green screen for 10 lines of dialogue? Thanks, here's a million dollars, enjoy the rest of your afternoon."

Io (wtf?) and Persenator on the ferry is a great example. They spend all this time building up the Medusa fight by describing something way cooler than the Medusa fight actually was, and rather than being clever about it, Perseus just got lucky.

Yeah, the Medusa sequence was kinda uninspired. Actually, most of the movie felt kinda uninspired. Go see How to Train Your Dragon instead.
