- I like the idea of Smart Power. And I wonder whether it will achieve just as much, and perhaps more, than blunt Military Power that has remained the cornerstone of US policy during the Bush malAdministration.

Of course it will work better. blunt military force as a diplomatic tool has never been a workable policy. while the US has been down of late (thanks GW) we are still a force to be reconed with when smarter policies take effect.
Alot of people underestimate the vastness and resources the US has when we stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

Calling it smart doesn't make it so ;P

I'm dead set against Mrs Clinton and her brand of politics. That being said I'm hoping she's going to work it out.
